Sunrise along the rocky shore of Georgian Bay.
Using Magic Lantern Dual ISO function for the first time, guess I'll have to say goodbye to multiple shots HDRs from now on.
Here's a shot of downtown Orlando from the top of a buddy's condo.. Couldn't think of a better view of the city. Feel free to like, comment and share :D
Preceding the sunrise, the stars at the core of the Milky Way Galaxy appear to rise above the horizon and arc in a clockwise diurnal circle around the south celestial pole as the Earth rotates under them. A magnificent and contemplative sight.
Beautiful aurora borealis fill the sky as the crescent moon rises over McLeod Lake.

Riding the Earth’s rotation into a new day. Astronomical twilight in the eastern sky washes away the stars. The core of the galaxy with the light of millions of stars fades from view to be replaced by a single star after a few more degrees of rotation.

Night divides the day…”-Morrison
If you can't stay out late to chase auroras then just wake up early.
I was very excited to see these pulsating auroras filling the sky when I got up for work this morning. Not a bad view from my backyard.

I shot this with my new Rokinon 14mm, wide-angle lens. We walked out on this long dock on the Fox river and were able to catch the moon in the image.
This is not an autofocusing lens, so I did everything manual. I am impressed with the lens.

Here's another recent Milky Way shot from the desert of Joshua Tree National Park, in southern California.
This shot was taken during a 4-hour early morning photo shoot (2:30-6:30 AM) that I did less than a couple weeks ago. Being under the stars in a location far away from the city is spectacular.
To make this image more interesting, I light painted with a laser along the road.
This is a five-image stack (to reduce noise and increase detail) taken at the following settings:
Canon EOS 7D Mark II | Rokinon SP 14mm f/2.4 | 20 sec. | ISO 3200 | f/2.5
