I don't know which configuration of the wings I prefer - and the film seems to be of the same mindset, since it goes back and forth with some regularity. Notable of the landed mode, however, is that the gear retract into the terribly thin wings. Considering this is literally not possible in real life, I did not bother with gear on this model. Also, the door seems to open incorrectly, but I have no idea how I'd fix that.
I’ve managed to collect all of the Ghost crew but have been struggling to display them. In the end the amazing 75312 Slave 1 inspired me to try midi-scale and I managed to put this together! She’s 27cm long, 21cm wide, weighs in at 695g and the parts cost is around £85. She’ll holds all six crew (although they’re all sitting and lying down) and I managed to get a sturdy little stand right under the centre of gravity. I’ve also made tiny Phantoms 1 & 2 that can hold Chopper.

Rogue One is one of my favorite SW movie. And one of the reason I love it is the design of the ships.
They don't simply dig out old concept art from McQuarrie, they create new ones which fits perfectly in the SW universe.
So naturally I needed them in my collection, 75155 is cool, and with a little mod it's awesome but it require UCS level design.
And here's the result.
Parts : 3006
Dimension : 86 x 30 x 14 cm (closed wings)
Dimension : 79 x 110 x 14 cm (open wings)
As always it's the first version, I need to build it and make sure it work before releasing the files (for free of course).
I'm not convinced by the color scheme of the 75155, I think blue and yellow give a flashy and new look. I used dark blue and tan and avoided giving to much details to keep a sleek look.
I still need to build the landing gear and adapt a seat for K2.
There's no locking system for the Wings right now.
The blue squadron color scheme should follow.
'Step right up and see the galaxy's most astounding gun-ship! Moving wings! Sliding doors! Rotating propellers! Revolving cannons! And much more!'
*Rogue One Spoilers below*
My favourite moment from Rogue One, hands down, was when Red Leader (Garven Dreis) and Gold leader (Jon "Dutch" Vander) made their cameos. I decided to expand and capture that cameo here - the U-Wing is escorted by the pair, in addition to Red Two (Wedge Antilles) and Gold Five (Davish "Pops" Krail).
"We call it the Death Star. There is no better name." - Galen Erso
Cassian, Chirrut, and Baze are locked in the partisans' cells and become aware of the Imperial pilot, Bodhi Rook, in the cell next to theirs. Rook is initially unresponsive as a result of his torture, but Cassian manages to jog his memory.
Jyn is brought before Saw Gerrera who is wary of her at first, but eventually shows her the message from her father, Galen. Galen describes his participation in the Death Star project and the flaw he created to enable the station to be destroyed. The plans the Rebellion needs are located on Scarif. Before the message finishes, the Death Star fires on the moon.
Finally had a little bit of time this weekend to build something, so I decided to make the new U-wing from the Rogue One movie.
The ship is almost finished, but I have to solve some structural problems. Hope you guys like it!
"Jyn. Look at you. I've so much to tell you." - Galen Erso
The landing platform is hit by a squadron of Alliance bombers, forcing Director Krennic and the other Imperial forces to evacuate the facility. Jyn is nearly thrown from the platform, but manages to crawl to her dying father and have a brief exchange. Cassian retrieves Jyn from the platform, and they leave for Yavin in a stolen Imperial cargo shuttle piloted by Bodhi and K2.
