There is a road close to this small river.I was surprised when i had to brake hard to avoid a beaver crossing the road on it's way back to the water. First time i had to brake for a beaver :)

I've been trying out a new b&w film, Santa1000, from Kamreatori.fi. Shot at ISO 1000 and stand developed in Rodinal 1+100 for 60 minutes at 20°C.
the sky was a deep blue and the leaves were a vibrant yellow so it was super awesome that i was wandering around with b&w film in the camera... :)
when i got my hassy back from repair, it smelled like an ashtray, which was beyond disappointing, considering i paid a near fortune to have it fixed. very bad repair experience :-/ ...Eventually, I had put a roll of film in it. b&w. but mostly, the camera just sat there. it felt so tainted. my baby. ugh, it was awful. i Think i'm over the trauma now...the worst of it anyway.

Frankfurt's skyline seen from the Alte Brücke. Some weeks ago my Olympus OM-D E-M5 mkIII (that was always a mouthful) died - well, her shutter did. Apparently repair is not terribly economical, so I ended up buying her successor the OM System OM-5, and I got a little Agfa Optima Parat as a goodie. Sweet little camera, full auto exposure controlled by a selenium cell, and zone focussing. Looking at the first roll I feel the focus might be a bit off: it can look very sharp - but never on far away objects. Probably reasonably easy to fix.
Agfa Optima Parat and its Agfa Color-Solinar 1:2.8/30, Agfa APX 100 in Rodinal 1+50 for 12 min @ 20°C, digitalized using kit zoom with macro rings.
Thank you everyone for your visits, faves and comments, they are always appreciated :)
A second test roll with the Vollenda 620, Schneider f4.5 Xenar lens, uncoated. That Xenar lens is a superb performer, given its age (nearly 100 years old)

I think this is when I was reading this, which I highly recommend to all animal lovers!
this is a typical day in the yard, if we're having pleasant weather. conor is either on my lap, or stealing my spot. :)
I started this roll of 35mm at the end of my winter project and finally finished it, but scanning on a flatbed is such crap. every time I do it, I wonder why I shot a roll of 35mm... it needs a darkroom. (frustrations of the modern age)

At the feet of the Catalan Pyrenees, in the comarca of Solsonès, one of the least populated areas of Catalonia, you can find this mixture of Japanese accommodation inside a Catalan manor (masia). This is Mas Puigpinós, now converted into a Japanese hotel, what you can call it a ryokan (small rural accommodation in Japan). The owners are a couple made up of a Catalan woman and a Japanese man, so the whole hotel reflects this mix. In fact, the manor itself has been family property for centuries (obviously on the Catalan side). Puigpinós means "pine hill" in Catalan.
The main structure is obviously a beautiful masia of medieval origin, in the district of Lladurs, near the church of Timoneda (in Lladurs there is no village proper, only isolated churches and manors). You will find the Japanese part in the decoration, the furniture (some rooms have futons and tatami mats) and the food, fully Japanese but with elements of the Solsonès landscape. The only thing missing, especially in the cold months of the year, would be for them to have an onsen, but maybe in a while...
