Rodea la ciudad. Es de los siglos XII y XIII, de mampostería franqueada de trecho en trecho por cubos semicilíndricos. Se conserva el 80% del recinto amurallado, cubriendo una superficie de casi 7 hectáreas, de forma irregular. Se adapta al escarpado borde del páramo donde se asienta la villa. Está toda ella almenada y recorrida por camino de adarve.
Tiene dos puertas. La principal, Puerta del Azogue, se abre al norte, y es la típica puerta construida en codo, para mejor defensa de posibles invasores. La otra puerta está al sur, frontera a la anterior; es el Arco de la Villa, menos protegida desde el punto de vista arquitectónico pues por esa parte el páramo cae de manera abrupta hasta el valle.

I don't do selfies too often but when I woke up on the morning of 21 September and saw the beautiful morning light I knew I had to make this shot. So there you have it, my official birthday selfie with my new ride, a Triumph Street Twin 900.
FYI: I rode mini-bikes and dirt bikes in my youth and as they say, "I've still got it", but it has been a while. The only thing weird is when I'm riding on the street, I don't have to keep an eye out for the police. I have taken the state written test to obtain a permit so I can ride legally but this weekend I'll be taking a state sponsored Safety Course. Two full days and in the end, given I pass and I will, I'll get a waiver that the state recognizes in lieu of their testing.
Purple edged copper....taken in Germany during our short break wich was fantastic. Nature is beautiful and it is so peacefull there. A lot of green and ofcourse butterflies wich can not been seen in the Netherlands anymore. I had found some locations through internet wich are famous about the butterflies .
