Vintage china, stained glass, recycled gass tiles, half marbles. sold

small, yet perfectly formed.

On and off the really big rocker. As intense as the airplanes taking off and landing.

Took a walk around the historical district in Franklin Kentucky Sunday evening. We had so much fun and saw lots of cool things. I would love to sit there.

Scottsville, Virginia. Shot with an Olympus Stylus 1 camera.

An old rocking chair from my youth that my Mom gave my sister.

I was at my sister's house yesterday evening and her camera has auto bracketing. I took some photos and brought them home with me last night and put them together. I really like the auto bracketing feature because you don't have to manually change the exposure for each shot you take. Very nice.

This is one "chore" that I'm sure she looks forward to!

“Language Lessons for Little People” by John Morrow. Published by American Book Co., 1912. Various illustrators.

I found this photo in a box of junk I bought at a yard sale. It has no useful inscriptions on the back to identify it, but I'm guessing it's from the 1920s.

So Casey, IL, has a big collection of big objects. One of them claims to be the World's Largest Yardstick, and I have some ISSUES with that.

If it is more than three feet long, then it is NOT the world's largest yardstick. It is the world's largest scale model of a yardstick. To be the world's largest yardstick, it would have to be exactly three feet long, otherwise it is by definition not a yardstick.

So, what I think they should have done is make it a normal three-foot long yardstick but just make it super deep.

It's All Soul's Day today. Wasn't able to do an SP that's Halloween themed, so might as well still do something with a creepy feel.

This was taken at my grandparents' house, thus the old house feeling with the old windows and door. Was able to rummage my through my grandma's clothes to find this big blouse (which of course is already a dress for me lol) for an instant creepy costume.

So a new goodwill opened up in my town (no more 45 minute drives for us!) and Jason and I decided to stop in. Boy am I glad!

I have never before found a boxed Barbie in a goodwill... They have always been bedraggled, ink stained, chewed, missing limbs... All around not worth my time except for practice with painting.

The chair was in the home goods section, sitting among lots of wooden shelves and assorted bits. Perfect size for 1/6 dolls! I couldn't believe it. The velour on the seat is sun faded, but personally I think it makes it look more antique or at least favored :)

The Jet-ski.... Well, let's just say Lagoona is going to have a blast with this once the weather warms up again. I want to try to repaint it different colors, but I've never done that sort of thing before. Anyone have some tips for me?

And the book....well, Jason and I are both suckers for werewolves and other beasties and creatures. Going to find out if this piece of pulpy goodness is, well, any good.

this was taken on a cold night i took it from the outside of the window.

I found this old rocking chair at an antique store (it had ugly plaid fabric on it). I recovered it and now I love it 8 ).

This rocker was in the main house at Linwood Gardens.

Not only was it the most comfortable rocking chair I have ever sat on, but it was both beautiful and highly efficient.

I set it rocking (without me in it) and it continued rocking for almost a minute and a half.

It's early:thirty here on the west coast and I'm heading to SFO to settle in for a 21-hour trip to Singapore. Excited! My camera is beside itself.

Two weeks in Singapore and Thailand (Phuket). Never have so many shoes traveled so far. Stay tuned...!

As an added point of note, Logan Airport seems to now be placing a single, white rocking chair in each of the gate areas. A cozy, yet slightly creepy, touch.

A motorized rocking chair for LEGO Indiana Jones minifig.

A great photo of last year's Summer window display! Stay tuned for this year's display.

Johnson Canyon, Utah: The television series of Gunsmoke ran from 1955 to 1975 and is said to be one of the longest running prime-time shows on television. There were 635 episodes and many of the outdoor scenes for this show were shot in Johnson Canyon near Kanab, Utah. The setting of Gunsmoke is Dodge City, Kansas during the 1870's. A replica of the Hollywood set was created just three miles outside of Kanab. This Johnson Canyon movie set, is perhaps the largest movie set constructed in the Kanab area. It can still be viewed from the road but is not accessible due to its state of general disrepair.
