Winter's still here-yawn....

Who doesn't love a Robin?

In hackberry woods in Austin, Texas. Slightly postprocessed to get rid of some distracting background branches.

Whilst the frogs have been having a frenzy in the pond, this robin is quietly waiting to feed on the spawn!!

Keeping out the cold, snow on the ground

Another sure sign of Spring are the Robins bouncing about the lawn on there little pogo stick legs hunting for earthworms. March 2012

I actually really like this despite the flaws.

It is a goal of mine to get a great picture of a robin. This is the best I've done so far. :)

This robin is quite friendly, he has been watching me hang out the washing and I tempted him a little closer with some cheese to try and get a photo. I don't think he was too sure about the noise of my camera.

Robin mom feeding her young ones.

One of the best sights in winter.

My contacts will no doubt be familiar with a certain little Robin I call Romeo who frequents my garden. Well let me introduce you to another little character who I call Bouncy!

Where Romeo is sleek, suave and handsome, Bouncy is...well...round and bouncy! His feathers are constantly fluffed up and he seems to bounce around the garden like a wayward tennis ball!

In the past few days he seems to have become quite fond of me and runs...sorry I mean bounces...around me constantly when I am in the garden:)
