“I wanna push you around, well I will, well I will. I wanna push you down, well I will, well I will…”
Push: Matchbox 20, Yourself Or Someone Like You
This was the first song that I liked from Matchbox 20, and while I have other songs of theirs that I like, this is the only album that I own. There were a lot of hits on the pop charts off this album, and I have to give them props: they weren’t a one hit wonder band.
This song moves me musically more than lyrically. I actually use the moving base line in a lot of my compositions, and I have to say one thing about Rob Thomas: he pours himself into his songs to say the very least!

Pushing down a loved one
Lyrics:
she said I don't know if I've ever been good enough
I'm a little bit rusty, and I think my head is caving in
And I don't know if I've ever been really loved
by a hand that's touched me, and I feel like something's gonna give
and I'm a little bit angry, well
this ain't over, no not here, not while I still need you around
you don't own me, we might change it
yeah we just might feel good
I wanna push you around, well I will, well I will
I wanna push you down, well I will, well I will
I wanna take you for granted, I wanna take you for granted
Yeah, yeah, well I will
she said I don't know why you ever would lie to me
like I'm a little untrusting when I think that the truth is gonna hurt ya
and I don't know why you couldn't just stay with me
you couldn't stand to be near me
when my face don't seem to want to shine
cuz it's a little bit dirty, well
don't just stand there, say nice things to me
cause I've been cheated, I've been wronged, but you
you don't know me, yeah, well I can't change
Well, I won't do anything at all
I wanna push you around, well I will, well I will
I wanna push you down, well I will, well I will
I wanna take you for granted, yeah I wanna take you for granted
Yeah, yeah, well I will
oh but don't bowl me over
just wait a minute well it kinda fell apart, things get so crazy, crazy
don't rush this baby, don't rush this baby, baby
I wanna push you around, well I will, well I will
I wanna push you down, well I will, well I will
I wanna take you for granted, yeah yeah yeah
I wanna take you, take you, yeah, well I will
I will, I will, I will, yeah
I will, I will, I will, yeah yeah
push you around, and drag you down
I wanna push you around
Well I will

American pop-rockers Matchbox Twenty made their live return in London playing their first show in over a year and their first UK show since 2008.
A warm-up show in preparation for their iTunes festival headline slot at the Roundhouse the following night, the boys played a long set encompassing all their hits, some rarely heard older tracks as well as a few tunes from their new release North.
This beautiful creature, over 4.5 feet (1.5 m) in length, was caught where I work in Maharashtra. It was captured and handled with great skill and care, to be released somewhere away from human habitation. Hopefully to makes it's way in the world.

let it go,
let it roll right off your shoulder
don't you know
the hardest part is over
let it in,
let your clarity define you
in the end
we will only just remember how it feels
our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain
let it slide,
let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine
until you feel it all around you
and i don't mind
if it's me you need to turn to
we?ll get by,
it's the heart that really matters in the end
our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain
all of my regret
will wash away some how
but i can not forget
the way i feel right now
in these small hours
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away but these small hours
these small hours, still remain,
still remain
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away
but these small hours
these little wonders still remain

Just one shot before I hit the sack from tonight's Matchbox Twenty gig.
American pop-rockers Matchbox Twenty are back on the road with their fifth studio record North.
They played a long and very mixed set of old and new material and even threw in a cover of Rolling Stones' hit Jumpin' Jack Flash.
Night folks!
