Behind the Cathedral in its car park - "The St Paul’s Cathedral grounds become a fluid space of curated chaos. A free meeting place for song, dance, deliciousness and the uncanny."
It was a place to hang out whilst catching something to eat and watch this somewhat weird wall of characters jiggle up and down and in a out to music
The Great Lakes water levels are at an all time high this year. This is the East Point lighthouse near the village of Killarney on Georgian Bay taken last month. The winds were whipping up gusts of about 80 km at times. When the water levels are high, the crashing waves can cause real damage on shore. There is another lighthouse on Georgian Bay in Lions Head. Last week the wind took off the one side of the lighthouse and left the inside exposed to the elements. Huge boulders around the lighthouse were displaced. Sadly, there is not much money spent on maintaining the lighthouses anymore.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - "Bad moon rising"
www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUQiUFZ5RDw
I see the bad moon risin′
I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightnin'
I see bad times today
Don′t go around tonight
Well, it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
I hear hurricanes a-blowin′
I know the end is comin′ soon
I fear rivers overflowin'
I hear the voice of rage and ruin
Don′t go around tonight
Well, it's bound to take your life
There′s a bad moon on the rise
Alright
Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quite prepared to die
Looks like we're in for nasty weather
One eye is taken for an eye
Well, don′t go around tonight
Well, it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
Don′t go around tonight
Well, it′s bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
There had been a lot of rainfall prior to our visit and it showed in the very high level of the River Severn that night. When I say very high, I mean within millimeters of the path. In some places, the water already breached the banks and made going further impossible. Luckily for us, there was an exit up to the road above just before the flooding, else we would have had to go back on ourselves for about half an hour.
The arches underneath the bridge were cool. In the low light, the dark, imposing brickwork made them feel like cavernous tunnels.
The rising sun at daybreak. Happy New Year!

I went out early in the morning looking for a cloud inversion once more. The weather patterns, temperatures, cloud floor all seemed to line up with the idea that one was going to hit the mountains. It didn’t work out this time, so I left the first location at Wayah Bald fire tower to begin searching for something different. Maybe a nice foggy patch of road or something interesting. A photo can leap out at you suddenly, and you need to keep your eyes open. Don’t give up just because your initial idea didn’t work out. Eventually I found my way into a part of the national forest that’s often ignored. That’s where this scene unfolded. Clouds hanging low from above, and a river of mist flowing in from the lake. I spent a bit of time composing with a shorter focal length first only to realize I needed to get much further into the scene.
