Got this ring from my dad years ago. I think he said it was made by my grandfather or maybe it was my great grandfather I'm not sure now. Made from a horseshoe nail.
For Macro Mondays.

The ring my late stepfather gave to my mother for their engagement. Mum didn't seem to mind it being photographed. Scene size I forgot to measures, but the ring is about 0.75inch across.
- a gift from Clare (but not made by her) who brought it back from a trip downtown to Glasgow with Ray when I stayed behind in her flat for a small siesta (I'm quite expert at such!)

Macro Mondays: ring
I have photographed the ring on one of my scarves....
Became overcast once again as soon as i sat down this morning. These plovers are so hard to get good pictures of with their dark eye surrounds and bright white feathers. I had several of these around me this morning asnd took many pictures, But very disappointed with the results when i got home. Maybe if the sun stayed out for me they may have been better
Species: Turdus torquatus.
Locality: Dane Bower Quarry Area, Cheshire, UK
Many thanks to people who view or comment on my photos.

My mother's ring with a diamant. The ring was given by my father to her. She always wore the ring. When she passed away it became mine. Once I lost the ring and couldn't find it. After several months I accidentally found it under a cupboard while cleaning. I was very relieved I found it back.
Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.
The male ring-necked duck was so fed up with his nagging mate that he quacked, "Keep it up, and I just might finally live up to my name!"

Blue-ringed octopuses, comprising the genus Hapalochlaena, are four extremely venomous species of octopus that are found in tide pools and coral reefs in the Pacific and Indian oceans, from Japan to Australia. They can be identified by their yellowish skin and characteristic blue and black rings that can change color dramatically when the animal is threatened. They eat small crustaceans, including crabs, hermit crabs, shrimp, and other small sea animals.
They are one of the world's most venomous marine animals. Despite their small size—12 to 20 cm (5 to 8 in)—and relatively docile nature, they are very dangerous if provoked when handled because their venom contains a powerful neurotoxin called tetrodotoxin.
The species tends to have a lifespan of approximately two to three years. This may vary depending on factors such as nutrition, temperature, and the intensity of light within its environment. (Wikipedia)
