I shot this image in a misty morning when sun rises in a forest using zoom burst.

Second shot from the photography event at St Paul’s Cathedral earlier this month, and one I’d very much hoped I'd have a chance to take. This is the view looking towards the nave, with the apse and high altar in the distance.

The image was captured at the end of the evening, shortly before the cathedral’s doors closed. The lamps lining the choir stalls had been switched off, but for a few moments there was still a lingering ambient glow in the lampshades, and the chandeliers continued to cast a faint light against the altar, the organs and the tapestries along the ceiling.

Moments of revelation sometimes happens in daily life and a photograph can be their proof.

Upon entering the temple emerges a figure shrouded in light and whose serene face shows the lines of the ancient order of Khronos.

Lady of Elche quickly recognized that her long journey had finally come to an end, that strange but beautiful personage should be Athena.

- Welcome Lady Of Elche, my name is Athena, The Guardian of Ahrthyon and of the Ancient Knowledge.

As you will surely know, I belong to the ancient order of Khronos, The Time Travelers.

I'm sorry to have put you through all these temporary proofs and time dimensions, but we'd have to make sure the Dark Shadows would not follow us ... we are the last Hope to our Kingdom of Krudhyn.

Last year i visit this place the first time and had an idea for a night scene. Gina and i revisit this place at daylight just to test how it looks with the mage robe. She first stands at the right side and after that i had the idea to fill the scenery with more mages so i told her where to stand. All done at daylight and added the mood in post.

Thanks Gina for the teamwork.

Welcome to my place of worship :)

Badlands, Central Oregon

It has been a while since I have posted anything, due to a prolonged cold that hit me on New Year's Eve, from which I am still in recovery.

This image was supposed to have been my last for 2015, but it will instead by my first for 2016.

I captured this dramatic scene while camping out at Caesars Head State Park at the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in South Carolina early one morning back in November 2015.

The weather turned out dreary, and heavy fog was moving in and out of the valley like ocean tides.

When I thought the weather was giving way to some warming sunlight, new layers of heavy clouds would roll in, leaving me in disappointment once more.

I used a hand towel to cover up my camera, which was getting wet from all the fog, but the towel was, obviously, only soaking up the dampness and getting more wet as time went by, leaving me wondering how much longer I could remain, for the sake of my equipment.

Looking across the valley floor into the distance, I could see nothing but white...but I knew The Rock was out there, somewhere, looking back at me.

When my watch timer indicated I had been at this spot for two-and-a-half hours and no sign of breakage in the clouds was evident, I began to consider packing up.

And then, almost precisely on cue with my thoughts of perpetual disappointment, there was a Revelation - Mother Nature calmed, the clouds cleared, the sun so eager to shine its warmth upon the Earth, unveiled itself before me.

And as its light shone upon The Rock and the final remnants of autumn colors in the valley below, the clouds illuminating with the golden-hour light, a deep sense of gratitude empowered me as I clicked the shutter...

I hope you like the result? Your comments are welcomed, your Faves even more appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and view this photograph, and I hope it finds you well and safe.

Here's to a excitement-filled and opportunistic 2016!

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. This guy held the expression before and after I took the shot - looking as though surprised by revelation and sudden enlightenment. Enjjoy!

Shot from the Tate Modern

"Revelation:" The Merced River has been at elevated flow levels for some time, given the added snowfall and subsequently snowmelt that has been occurring in Yosemite, but I wanted to capture the view with one of the historic bridges, so I had to stand on a log at the edge of the river to try to capture this shot. Getting my tripod in place was another trick. You can see that even the tunnel intended for foot traffic on the right side was still quite flooded. This was taken my first evening in the park when the smoke from a controlled burn were making Half Dome play disappearing acts. I was thankful that just in time as the sun set, Half Dome was revealed at least partially, albeit briefly, through the smoke, and its face illuminated with a nice rosy glow.

"What is the meaning of life? That was all- a simple question; one that tended to close in on one with years, the great revelation had never come. The great revelation perhaps never did come. Instead, there were little daily miracles, illuminations, matches struck unexpectedly in the dark; here was one."
