Week 6/52

I'm back at it. I'd write more about this image, but I have a whole blog post pertaining to this and life in general over here. This is actually last week's image, keep on the lookout for this week's super simple one.

Revelation 1:1 “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.”

Revelation 3:18 “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.”

I sat with my anger long enough,

Until she told me her real name

was grief

"...I have come to think that life is a far more limited thing than those in the midst of its maelstorm realize. That light shines into the act of life for only the briefest moment-perhaps only a matter of seconds. Once it is gone and failed to grasp its offered revelation, there is no second chance."

“What is the meaning of life? That was all- a simple question;

one that tended to close in on one with years,

the great revelation had never come.

The great revelation perhaps never did come.

Instead, there were little daily miracles,

illuminations, matches struck unexpectedly in the dark;

here was one.”

– Virginia Woolf, “To the Lighthouse”

seen on this day three years ago.

I know it's not quite ART, it's too much noise...and I'm not pretending at all, I took it with a cam a guy left me to hold while he was playing..it was an absolutely stunning atmosphere...and this is a friend of mine whose birthday is tomorrow, who is a special human being and who does totally reflect the yesterday mood...I gues I managed to catch the MOOD...

It seems like there is a message in every sunrise, but it may be different for each and every person. Stand tall facing the sun--a sun salutation, breathe deeply, and welcome the arrival of a new day and a new beginning.

"Temples are places of personal revelation. When I have been weighed down by a problem or a difficulty, I have gone to the House of the Lord with a prayer in my heart for answers. The answers have come in clear and unmistakable ways."

This is a fresh photograph, and amongst my favorites, from one of my recent mountain trips!

Technical notes: Canon 5D Mark II, with Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L II tilt-shift lens, 3 exposures by using shift; up 10mm (upper third part of photograph), no shift (center part) and down 10mm (lower part), processed equally in the raw-converter, converted to 16-bit tiff-files and stitched together to create this 4x5 format with (relatively) very high resolution.

Oh, almost forgot! Are you a tilt-shift lens user? And, do you own the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L II (or any other tilt-shift lens that is capable of 12mm shift)? Then you need to read one of my latest blog posts:
