We're moving, so I have been clearning out stuff from the basement, including vases from previous flower arrangements. I took some a flower vendor at the farmer's market this morning, and got these lovely roses in exchange. Perfect.

Our clocks are made out of recycled CDs, some of which are reused to make clocks with designs from artists around the world. The rest of the CDs are ground down and re-used in the plastics industry.

saves on the energy and water usage needed to make new toys. It also saves on the CO2 and energy required to ship toys thousands of miles. And it saves the making of new toy plastics, which is notoriously difficult to recycle.
This dove was happily sat in a hole in the wall while I was snapping photos just a few inches away. Not that he had much choice!

Large size recycling bag made from an old sheet. Just fold it up inside out and sew two edges together, leaving the top open. Flip inside out and you've got the most badass recycling bag of them all. Then you can just wash it when you get home and reuse. You'll never have to waste copious amounts of garbage bags ever again!
Even the guy at the recycling depot will be jealous.
You can always find a good use for Crown Royal bags. In my case, they make for a quick and easy lens pouch...and an interesting conversation as to why I have so many bags.
Photos from a dress rehearsal of the 2016 production of "A mid-summer night's dream" at the University of Minnesota, Morris, directed by Ray Schultz.
These are, for the most part, completely unedited and being posted "as is". I'll try to clean up the lighting and color on a few of the better ones and post them later, but these are pretty much the raw dump. All I've done here is remove things that are terribly out of focus, or have some other really obvious problem.
This production used recycled/reused materials for both the set and costuming whenever possible.
Many thanks to Ray and the cast and crew for letting me barge in and take pictures during this rehearsal. The show was enormously fun, and I really enjoyed shooting.
