Made with quilting cotton from my stash. The outside and the lining are the same fabric. This fabric was also used for the lining of bag #1.
This year, my Earth Day change was to buy reusable shopping bags. I'll use these for non-grocery purchases, and need to buy some others for grocery shopping. Let's waste less!!

Dear son of mine!
I wanted to tell you a little something about why the earth need us to think green thoughts. The nature around us is beautiful and I really want it to be like this for a really, really long time. That's why I try to teach you to recycle what can be recycled, reuse what can be reused and reduce the amount of stuff we have, because we don't really need all the stuff do we? No, really, we don't! I hope that you one day can be proud of me and understand why I think it is so important to try and do as much as we can to make sure we don't harm the nature of the earth just because we want thing right here and now - or we want to earn some quick bucks. We try to make it an everyday thing in our house, I hope that when you grow up this is an everyday thing for you too:

Reinstalled some from 1st floor in new doorways upstairs. Removed a couple layers of paint with help of a heat gun, then sanded and oiled them.

mikes mom gave me this old filing drawer thing and it has come in handy. i cant pick what color i want to paint it. teal maybe? on top is some cute stuff i have thrifted and glass jars i have reused and made into pencil cases and picture frames all at the same time!
