We all have big changes in our lives that are more or less a second chance.

Reunited, 33053 and 37068 wait on Crewe Depot to head back to Hereford with a Regional Railways special. 4th May 992.

On June 5th I packed up my Fujifilm X100S

and sent it to the Fujifilm Repair Center in Edison, NJ. The on/off switch started sticking making it very hard to turn on and off. Something was not right and considering it was a few days from being a year old the warranty was about to expire. I was without my X100S for 18 days and it was brutal. Don;t get me wrong, I love the X-T1, but there is something about grabbing a camera and going. Not worrying about different focal legnths...anyway, I got it back today and put on the L grip/bracket...it is very nice, but I am not sure if I am going to keep it...I really like the X100S as is in hand. So glad to have my camera back!!!

Cinnamon (on the left) was up in a stall for 6 weeks to treat a cut on her leg. Here she is, reunited with Flame. He definitely lets everyone know she is his girl!

Its been 53 years since 5917 and the 75ft Casino turntable were last together. 5917 was one of ten 59 class allocated to Casino in 1962 along with a 10 class a 12 class a 13 class two 30Ts and a handful of 48 class units.

Finally have my Mio back home with me after almost 3 years.

I am very happy to get her again and I love her even more than I did before! >.<

Welcome Back Mio!~

Rusty's long-lost cousin, Rustine.

Last seen together at Arbroath in 2007 or thereabouts. Strathtay B7TL 710 (SP03 GDK), now Stagecoach 16930, and 560 (YSF 87S), back in Scotland for the first time since it was sold out of service and preserved.

This is Stephen Oachs

I met up with Stephen a little over a month ago, in Lower Antelope Canyon. He seemed like a nice guy. He let me use a tumbleweed that he brought in with him as a prop, so I let him borrow my new Canon, fisheye lens to take a shot. Well, a couple hours later, I started looking all through my bag for my lenscap. It's gone. I thought, 'Damn... Did he stick my lenscap in his pocket?' Well, luckily, we had exchanged business cards. I was embarrassed to contact him and accuse him of stealing it. Luckily, he emailed me, and said he had it. Well, being on my whirlwind tour of the southwest, I had no address to mail it to. When he saw I was in Yosemite, he decided to take a drive out there and meet up. So here they are. Reunited at long last. My fisheye lens, and it's beloved lenscap.

Since I didn't have my laptop for the past month and a half, I get to relive my summer one photo at a time as I sort through the hundreds (thousands?) of shots I took over break. Might as well start at the beginning...

My dog and I came home to Guelph for the summer yesterday. Our rabbit is the boss and the brains here. My dog is just in looooove with her!

Olga's young cousin, Viktor, arrived from Russia yesterday morning. Don't worry, they were soon reunited. :)

I'm afraid it's far too hot for me to do any outdoor photography at the moment, so there are likely to be a few more 'little people' appearing in my Photostream over the next few days. Apologies to anyone who doesn't like whimsy. You have my full permission to tune out until the weather cools down and something approaching sanity returns. :)

A southerly view of Skye from Dun Caan - Beinn na Caillich to the left, Blà Bheinn in the centre along with Glamaig to the right and the northern Cuillin to complete the panorama.

My mate had been up on Dun Caan's summit plateau for a good while and was more than happy to have had the sunshine and views to himself for an hour or so - give or take the dozens of cuckoos passing by! Indeed he stayed for a good while longer as I decided to walk back to Inverarnish via an old path along the burn rather than get a lift.

Seen entering Middleton bus station is First Manchester 53808 WX05RSY, a former First Bath Optare Solo that I first snapped in that city in 2006!

In the intervening period, it and 53807/10 have since moved on to First Cymru, thence to First South Yorkshire at Doncaster, before heading to Manchester.

Following work on the electrical system and a lengthy cylinder head overhaul, a healthy 903 returns to Swansea Bus Museum to be greeted by 978.

Mother and child reunion!

We found this tiny young totally relaxed lion cub resting with its forefeet on a trunk.

While watching her and taking some pictures from a respectful distance in order not to disturb or frighten her, her mother showed up in the distance! This photo is the moment they reunited! Isn't adorable?

I hope you like the photo and moment too! Next upload will even be more gorgeous......

This photo is for my mum who passed away last year!

For Sight and Sound

Here's a little slow motion hummingbird video for you so you can actually see her. (These little birds are so quick!)

This little girl was so confused when I took her feeder into the house to refill it. She kept flying around the hook that it hangs from.

Below you can see them happily "reunited." ;-)

Which brings me to this hit single from Peaches and Herb in 1978/79 off of their album "Too Hot." Maybe you remember it too?

Reunited or Reunited

“That’s Her!” Stan said. But for a minute I wasn’t so sure. We were standing at the edge of Bac Ha Markets and I was suffering from sensory overload. The humidity, the noise and the riotous colour of the Flower Hmong’s traditional dress was swimming in front of me like the opening sequence of a Baz Luhrmann extravaganza. The unfamiliar smells emanating from the open-air kitchens was assaulting my nostrils, as was the more familiar odour of animal dung wafting through from the buffalo market, on what would otherwise have been a welcome cool breeze.

I flipped through the little book of photos I had brought with me. It was her, she was even wearing the same coloured hat and scarf.

We handed her the photo and she stared at it for a long time. I wondered about the quality of her eyesight. Finally she looked up and pointed a bony finger at me and her face collapsed into the sweetest of smiles. We smiled, we nodded, I babbled on in English, and ripple of activity radiated from where we were standing as a crowd of noisy, nosy women closed in around us, grabbing at the photos and chattering excitedly to each other. Pointing and laughing at the photos in turn as they recognised the images of their friends.

A woman standing behind me indicated that she wanted to see the photos too. I reached across to retrieve the photo from “my” lady, but she gripped it tightly and would not let it go. I had given it to her, and there was no way she was giving it back. She held it up for the others to see and her eyes crinkled so much I wondered that she could see out of them.

I asked if I could photograph her again, and she composed herself, stared directly down the lens at me and honoured me again with her portrait.

Meanwhile the activity around us had shifted slightly as another women recognised herself in one of the photos. A shy woman, five years ago she had tipped her hat at me as I photographed her. She had aged, as had all the women. But then, I guess, so have I.

Yes, little n was very happy to see little e and super thriled that Big E was around fr the ride.

- keeping in true fashion, 3rd time in a row that the little letters ( and big E ) were "kicked out" . this time by the police!.

We did some good ole nj suburban exploration and just as we were wrapping up one area in search of some more abandonment - mr. suburban officer pulled up.. It appears that the 5 of us didn't pose such a big threat so no one was locked up ...this time

Title: "Reunited"

Artist: Kevin "Sensei23" Sullivan

Painted: June - July 2017

Size: 24" x 48"

Medium: Acrylic and aerosol on canvas

Notes: With my love of the Blues Brothers, I commissioned Kevin to create this painting. He was able to recreate my vision on canvas while creatively and ingeniously surpassing my expectations. The part I emphasized the most to him was the sunglasses. To me, this painting is all about the reflection in the sunglasses.

An attempt at recreating some of Jack Vettriano more sexy images. With a bit of deliberate photoshopping of course.

Perry and Eugenia both have failed marriages. Each one is happily divorce. But it seems both are ready to give love another try !!!;-D!!!

A pair of ex-CR 60's pair up once again after probably spending time being built next to each other. The NS crew having finished up the see saw with Delaware Lackawanna at Portland, they head for home past remnants of the old DLW.

Back at Guildford from their stint in Harlow.

A magnificent double grave from the so-called Wilhelminian period (wilhelminische Zeit) at the Nordfriedhof in Wiesbaden, Germany. I like how the red sandstone has weathered, and I particularly like the details of the snakes in the top corners and the opium poppy for the eternal sleep. What opulence!

Dare I suggest full size???

My Sakura doll(s) finally has her very own Tomoyo! Thanks to Pam <3 I have plans for a photo shoot if i ever get around to it.
