RTs 4777 (R) and 4779 (L) were both originally Weymann-bodied green Country Area RTs, built in 1954 and stored until finally entering service in 1959. Both subsequently became red buses, RT 4779 ending up with a Weymann body and RT 4777 a Park Royal one.
The second 'reunion' relates to me because RT 4777 is the one and only RT I have driven, and at a bus rally in the 80s. The evidence is here: www.flickr.com/photos/82097736@N00/39072195830/in/photoli...
My understanding is that RT 4777 was never allocated to Barking garage but as BK was local to me at one time I'm very happy to see it thus labelled.

During a normal drive through East Chicago, we stumbled upon IC 9607 stopped near PLS at the usual coke train tie-down spot. At first, we didn't know if they had a crew or not, but a quick look inside the cab told us all we needed to know. As we pulled up there was a NS ethanol crossing over on the IHB which was restricting this train from moving as they have to cross over near the East Chicago diamonds. Eventually the ethanol cleared, and the conductor got out to flag the crossing. 9607 got their restricting across the IHB.
This woman....she knows what I'm talking about. Then again I did promise food if she could lead me to what I'm looking for. I'll kill her if she's just wasting my time.... The woman leads us to a building. One that actually has a roof on it. Already this is a good start, compared to the complete hell we've been looking at. Speaking of, these men. I only know one of them I'm with, Arnold Patton. Always so...surreal working with a man I was once hired to kill. There's another optically-challenged old fart like me, but he doesn't look very friendly so I won't waste my time. Then there's the reason I'm here. I only know him as Bloodfall. I've seen his face, but I don't have a name. Priorities, gotta love 'em. My priority right now is just learning if they're alright. We walk into the building and we're greeted by a young man with black hair. He's wearing those date military rags, only he's done away with the sleeves. Yeah, let's see how that works out for you in this kind of weather, son. I keep following the woman into the building. This place id dilapidated and falling to pieces. Amazing anything can live here. Finally, a few rooms in....

Another busy night in the Ammo Arms, saw Black Widow re-reunite with her Avengers teammates. "I see you finally got rid of the Teresa twins, Thor!" joked Black Widow to her handsome friend. "Indeed, these two ladies could make one of your planet's Vicar's blush, saucy wenches they are!" chuckled the demi-god, along with the giggles and blushes of Wanda.
Today, quite unexpectedly I stumbled upon the case to Dad's Zorki. I've looked for it many times but it was inside a plastic shopping bag - quite a miracle that it has not been discarded.
More interestingly I've spotted a 'pocket' inside the case where I found this piece of plastic. The numbers written by my Dad (who was a very organized person - unlike me) from 1 to 33 obviously were intended for recoding details about his shots. There was also a note about the film he used the ORWO NP27, quite a fast film for those days.
Taken for Macro Monday's theme line symmetry. These are two forks balanced against each other (not an easy feat to keep them balanced but I did it~) HMM everyone.
p.s. for anyone wondering about the set up....It's best to have them propped up with the handles butting against something to keep the balance. I used the edge of the sink with a dish cloth on one side and the other was a book and cloth....less chance of slipping when you use the cloths as well.

I went back home recently and brought back some more of my old childhood toys. This time it was my Fisher Price Little People and accessories. I managed a couple of photos while Noella slept this afternoon.
I have more Little People that I've gotten at Garage Sales, but those aren't included in this photo. These are just the ones from back home.
My original Blythe doll which I assumed was long lost has come back to me. My mom presented me with a box of childhood toys for my birthday that I had no idea she had kept. In the box was my pretty little 1972 Kenner Blythe. I have two of her original dresses. I was only 4 when I got this doll so her hair was a mess. Like a good Blythe owner, I happily spent the past 6 hours combing it out all pretty. Here she is wearing her Blue eyes. Come on, I know you want one. :)

After months of missing the strays I used to feed, they reappeared. With collars, perhaps they had been adopted then released again. They were similarly glad. This is the "jealous bigger brother" who fully demands my attention:)
Yipee, I am back. I have had a brilliant holiday in Orlando but it is nice to be back home and to be reunited with my little girl who I have missed so much. I think my Aunt (catsitter) needs a holiday now as Jess has been one spoilt little Diva while I have been away.
She has already eaten most of her Disney treats and she is curled up on my lap purring as I am catching up with everything that has been happening on flickr.

Not entirely sure why this spot appealed to me when I was alone in the rice fields during a dawn shoot. I'm not a big fan of overhead lines either but I guess I'm a sucker on reflections and distorted angles as you probably noticed in some (well, I think most lol!) of my photos. Don't you worry, I have loads of them so standby.
This was taken at Boac, Marinduque where my wife grew up.

The collapse of Buses Excetera and Arriva Kent & Surrey's taking on of the 479 on an emergency basis finally reunited the isolated Guildford depot operations with other Arriva buses after nearly two decades.

The goal this night was to take photos of the fireworks over the San Francisco Bay, however the infamous summer fog came in pretty thick and blocked the show. I was disappointed but later found the perfect spot to capture people moving around and leaving the area. I'm sure they were disappointed too.
Here's the crowd after 4th of July festivities at the Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. You can also see a couple hugging smack in the middle of the photo.
