Race the Waves is one of the UK’s most exciting vintage motorsport events, held annually on the sandy beaches of Bridlington, East Yorkshire. It's a celebration of classic speed, style, and seaside culture, where the roar of engines meets the roar of the crowd. Hosted by Backfire Promotions, the event brings together a vibrant mix of vintage and retro vehicles in a dynamic beach drag race setting.
You'll see an incredible variety of machines, from pre-1950s hot rods, bobbers and custom motorcycles to military vehicles and American classics. The cars and bikes aren’t just for show, they race head-to-head in thrilling sprints across the beach, kicking up sand and nostalgia in equal measure. There’s no official timing, it’s all about style, sound and spectacle.

Traditional houses and cobblestone street in Alaçatı, a pretty little town on Çeşme Peninsula by Aegean Sea, in Izmirn province, Aegean region of Turkey.
Alacati has been famous for its architecture, vineyards and windmills for over 150 years has now made its name in the world of windsurfing and kitesurfing, with its crystal clear water, consistent and steady wind (for an average of 300 days a year). Alacati is one of the most traditional towns in Turkey with stone houses, narrow streets, boutique hotels and restaurants with tables on the streets.

Cool summer outfit in style of 1961 in cream & coral/pink colors with real vintage jacket & skirt.

- Real vintage light gray pure wool (worsted yarn, double stretch by “SK KILSUND ORIGINAL DUBBEL STRETCH”) loose jacket by “Salenco design”, made in Sweden, about late 1960s (not earlier then 1966/not later then 1973)
- Real vintage pink pure silk long sleeve blouse by “Pierre Harré”, made in France, about 1960s-1970s
- Real vintage pink with stripes pure wool pleated midi skirt, made in France, about late 1960s-1970s
- Real vintage white/ecru lacquered raffia and horsehair pillbox hat with ribbon décor, about 1950–1960s

Bold fashion experiments of Dannais dde Daneann are illustrated by photos of talented photographer (also milliner/hatter) Alexandrina Wasiliewa-Szyłowska, with whom Dannais dde Daneann have Art Duet.
Picture is made with the film camera fully immersed under water. Film size 18x24 cm. Monocle. Without shutter. Xray film. DS51 flash. In the shooting process we used live saving diver's dry suite СПГ-К and sealing off rebreather ИДА-59М. Both were used as a diver's life saving equipment in Russian Navy for emersion from submarine (deep until 220 m).
