Been trying to snap that Cadillac for a while now and finally found an interesting composition.
A bit of editing on the first shot. Removed a post and asphalt visible on the sides of the car. Extended the shot upwards with another similar shot and added an overlay with extra dandelions. Minimal color editing.

Not something that I've seen at many car shows (or anywhere else for that matter!), but an interesting car none the less. And can't you just hear one of those police sirens like in the movies...wee-woo, wee-woo, wee-woo!!!

Absolutely enjoyed the conversation with the owner of this 1951 Ford Custom that was not originally a Police Car. During the restoration process back in the 1990's, the owner's son was a police officer in a small town that was trying to come up a good idea to help promote the "Just Say No" campaign to help keep young adults off drugs. This was the final idea of the owner and his son that was pitched to the Chief of Police and eventually became the final product seen here. It was used for this purpose for many years until that campaign ran its course and then just became an interesting piece at car shows. Today, it is still an interesting car show piece but interest has been renewed for its use to help promote the relationship between the public (particularly the youth and kids) and the police. He plans to give the police full use of the car when needed to help in this cause...in the end, beautiful car, beautiful story, and beautiful relationship between a car owner & the local police department!

Perhaps the earliest road worthy Bravo left, registered in March 1996. Only one other 1996 Bravo is left on the roads today.

I was contacted by Practical Classics about this Carisma. It’s a one owner from new very early top spec model. I could’ve had this for free but unfortunately it needed too much money invested to get back on the road, but it was too nice of an example to break. The owner is thinking of keeping it now instead of letting someone take it away.
One of the coolest things you'll find on a nice vintage hot rod is pinstripping...like this red & yellow stipping on this flat black Chevy. This is the "art" that is a part of classic car restoration and customizing. Look for this the next time you come across a vintage hot rod...
