An illustration of what Kauffman Stadium looked like back in the good ol' days when it was called Royals Stadium! I have turned this illustration into a 34"x 23" poster.

You can see close-up details of the illustration HERE and HERE.

Kitahama Retro Building stands opposite the Osaka Securities Exchange, with Tosabori River and Nakanoshima Park in the back. This building, originally constructed as a company building for a securities brokerage firm in the 45th year of the Meiji Era (1912), was designed with a Glasgow influence and is a registered tangible cultural property of Japan. Currently, the first floor is an English cake, tea and miscellaneous goods shop, and the second floor is a caf_ that is popular among tea-lovers, with an English antique atmosphere. English interior features appear in many details, such as the doorknobs and light switches. The popular menu of the caf_ is its afternoon tea set, with cakes, scones, sandwiches, etc. There are approximately 40 different teas from England, France, India, etc., and its cakes are baked fresh every day in the kitchen. The Nakanoshima rose garden can be viewed from the windows of the second-floor caf_ space; a perfect spot to spend a relaxing afternoon.

Why would anyone want to build something this odd and ugly?

I used a yellow and gray floral print from Cool Cottons, added tucks at the collar, two layered buttons in the center, and made a one-inch-wide sash to shape it a little bit.

I love it!

The whole photo shoot was first based on me finding this old, communist TV near a garbage container. The moment I saw it, I knew I wanted to somehow include it in my photos. It was old and retro and loved it from the beginning. Silvana (the model) also helped me a lot by knowing exactly how to highlight this object through her poses.

Mike at www.colourfulapples.com hooked me up with this very cool addition to my iBook.

Summer 2011 line of skirts, ignore the knobby knees please.

I am in the process of working through a bit of a retro project. Something to make use of a collection of older stuff in my possession. Until now it has languished in boxes and cupboards, rarely seeing the light of day.

I like this image that Letz Feed Mill ran in the September 1928 Country Gentleman.

Light adds drama to any space. Our Retro Ceiling Light is no exception. “Hang” one above a table, next to your bed, or let a row of them brighten up a hallway. Each Retro Ceiling Light vinyl wall decal measures 18.25” x 11” and includes 35” of vinyl “cord”.
