Got some more photos of the lovely Vanessa this morning. She is a dream, really. I know her pleather outfit will disintegrate in the future, I still can't stop drooling over it. She is so well put together, from head to toe.

Not far from our apartment is a little shopping complex and hawker center with a few shops that look simply untouched by time. This one cake shop sells these neat, retro-looking cakes with cute designs on top. Could not hold back any longer, decided to try one today and see how it is... ^_____^
... and the verdict, very nice! I will try another one next time I go back.

EN: Spolok výhrevne Vrúty association has recently successfully completed the five-year-long reconstruction of locomotive 750.182, which was originally destined for scrapping. On Friday, 16 August 2024, they took the first public retro ride with it under the name "Okuliarnikmi do raja". In the photo, the pair 750.182+750.300 at the head of the train R 31743 Vrútky - Mlynky passes through the odbočka Dolná Štubňa.

This picture might well also be entitled “Heroines in Hose #2”, as the pose is blatantly imitated from one of my ultimate role models, the fabulous burlesque artiste Dita Von Tease. Dita was snapped at a private view on some recent rainy night, having just dropped her brolly on the floor. Being Dita, she made no attempt to pick up the item in question! She merely radiated delicious helplessness, and waited for a doting admirer to retrieve it! Dita is definitely one of my Heroines in Hose!
BTW, this pink dress from BooHoo is known as ‘Fantasie’, and it is one of my all-time favourite party dresses. I do hope this picture gets you into the mood for Yuletide festivities!

This is from a beautiful, wooden boat that sits on the shore of the St. John River, near Long Point, New Brunswick. More shots to follow of this retro looking beauty.
An ongoing project of mine is going back through the archives with the purpose of finding images to convert to black & white and many of the Teton shots had an abundance of contrast to fit the bill. :) Although I consider myself to be addicted to color the traditional/retro "Classic" monotone image is a form of art all to itself, lending a completely different mood to the subject. IMHO

Retro lighthouse built using parts from 910 Universal Building Set (1976). This was done for my LUG's Island building challenge. It includes a couple of quirks of 1970's Lego design such as lack of internal floors and scale discrepancies.
