A complication which affects the eyes triggered due to diabetes is known as diabetic retinopathy. In this condition, the light sensitive cells present in the eyes are affected considerably. High blood sugar levels carry a risk of triggering this eye complication. If your sugar levels remain high for a long time, they affect the tiny blood vessels of the eye damaging the retina in the process. Therefore, blocking the blood supply to the eye. Although your body is capable of creating new blood vessels, they aren’t as effective as the original ones. The chances of it leaking blood and fluid in the retina are very high. Hence, if you experience any type of diabetes complications, please consult a doctor immediately for necessary diagnosis.

To improve high vision power, you can take several steps to support your eye health and potentially enhance your vision. Here are some tips:

•Visit an eye care professional: Schedule regular eye exams with an optometrist or ophthalmologist. They can assess your vision and provide recommendations based on your specific needs. They may prescribe glasses or contact lenses to correct refractive errors.

•Eat a healthy diet: Consume a nutritious diet rich in fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, and foods high in omega-3 fatty acids (such as fish). These foods are beneficial for eye health due to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

•Maintain a healthy weight: Obesity and overweight conditions can increase the risk of eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. By maintaining a healthy weight through a balanced diet and regular exercise, you can support overall eye health.

•Protect your eyes from UV rays: Wear sunglasses that provide protection against ultraviolet (UV) rays when you're outdoors. Prolonged exposure to UV rays can contribute to cataracts and other eye conditions.

•Take regular breaks from screens: If you spend extended periods working on a computer or looking at screens, follow the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break to look at something 20 feet away. This practice can help reduce eye strain and fatigue.

•Practice good lighting: Ensure proper lighting when reading or working on tasks that require close focus. Avoid glare and overly dim lighting, as they can strain your eyes.

•Avoid smoking: Smoking is linked to an increased risk of developing age-related macular degeneration and other eye conditions. If you smoke, consider quitting to protect your eye health.

•Exercise regularly: Engaging in regular physical activity improves overall circulation, which can benefit eye health. Consult with your healthcare professional to determine an exercise routine that suits your needs and abilities.

•Follow proper contact lens hygiene: If you wear contact lenses, follow the prescribed cleaning and wearing instructions provided by your eye care professional. Improper contact lens hygiene can increase the risk of eye infections and other complications.

•Limit screen time: Reduce excessive screen time, especially in the evening before bed. Blue light emitted from electronic devices can disrupt sleep patterns and strain the eyes.

Remember that while these tips can support eye health, they may not directly improve vision power or correct refractive errors. It's important to consult with an eye care professional for personalized advice and appropriate interventions tailored to your specific vision needs.

An old photo today im afraid, I spent this morning at the eye hospital and prior to the exam they always put drops in my eyes that mean i cant see very well for the rest of the day so no photo taken today.....but ive been discharged!yay! all of the retinal blisters have gone and just left a tiny bit of scarring so my vision is still slightly distorted but the chances of my retina detaching and me loosing sight are now very very minimal! It may come back in the future but for now i'm good!yay!
