I still live, I’m just more active on Instagram mainly because Flickr, to put it bluntly, is dead as shit.
Still in disrepair since the earthquake of 1953; [that's just after 10 to 8 by my watch]. Although for sale, it has to be renovated in keeping with the original design, so you could buy it for peanuts and spend a fortune restoring it. It would however, make a nice holiday home on this lovely island.
I admire the restoration that was done on this farmhouse in Laketown, Utah. A new foundation was poured next to the house which was then moved. A new porch was added and the windmill rebuilt. This is an active farm with sheep, a large garden, and a roadside produce stand. Big Creek is in the foreground.

The famous “Binns Clock” on the corner of Princes Street and Hope Street in Edinburgh has been restored. The building used to be occupied by the department store Binns which was taken over by House of Fraser in 1953. The clock was installed in 1960 and was an iconic meeting place. The Frasers store closed in 2018 and the building is currently being converted into the Johnnie Walker Experience. The clock restoration work was carried out by the Cumbria Clock Company who also repaired the musical mechanism which plays traditional Scottish tunes every half an hour as the kilted figures march out of the clock. In keeping with tradition, the Highland figures will emerge to the musical accompaniment every seven and 37 minutes past the hour.

Clervaux Castle in the town of Clervaux in Northern Luxembourg dates back to the 12th century. Destroyed by the fire in the Second World War during the Battle of the Bulge, the castle has now been fully rebuilt. It houses the commune's administrative offices as well as a museum containing an exhibition of Edward Steichen's photographs.
The castle stands at a height of 365 metres on a rocky spur above the town, surrounded on three sides by a loop in the River Clerve.
The oldest parts of the castle from the 12th century were built by Gerard, Count of Sponheim, a brother of the Count of Vianden. The large palace and the rounded towers are probably from around 1400 when the prosperous Lords of Brandenbourg lived there.
In 1634, Claude of Lannoy built the reception halls, including the large Knights' Hall in the Spanish style of Flanders. In 1660, stables, storerooms and administrative buildings were added. Finally, in the 18th century, new stables were built.
Over the years, like other castles in Luxembourg, Clervaux fell into disrepair although it was partly restored and used as a hotel before it was finally destroyed in the Second World War during the Battle of Clervaux (December 16 to 18, 1944), part of the Battle of the Bulge.
After being fully restored after the war, the castle is now used partly as a museum and partly for housing the local administration. The south wing houses an exhibition of models of Luxembourg's castles. There is a museum devoted to the Battle of the Ardennes. The upper floors house the permanent installation of the entire complement of 503 original and restored prints, the work of 273 photographers, from the exhibition The Family of Man, curated by Edward Steichen for The Museum of Modern Art in 1955. The remaining rooms are used for the services of the local administration.

What happens to imagination in a logic world that makes people work until they get sick, long for horrible things that they don´t need and walking around feeling bad about themselves? What happens to the human soul when imagination is forgotten?
This image has been waiting a long time to be edited! I shot it over two years ago. Everything was well planned, from the prop and costume to the location. But I never knew how to edit it. Until today, which I´m very happy for :D The edit isn´t what I thought it would be when I first shot the image, but that´s what´s amazing with Photoshop- that you never know where it will end!

The Diana of Versailles or Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt is a slightly over-lifesize marble statue of the Roman goddess Diana with a deer. It is now in the Musée du Louvre, Paris. The statue is also known as Diana with a Doe , Diana Huntress, and Diana of Ephesus. It is a partially restored Roman copy (1st or 2nd century CE) of a lost Greek bronze original attributed to Leochares, c. 325 BCE.
Diana is represented at the hunt, hastening forward, as if in pursuit of game. She looks toward the right and with raised right arm is about to draw an arrow from her quiver. Her left arm has been restored, and a deer has been added at her feet, although one might have expected a dog, Her left hand is holding a small cylindrical fragment, which may be part of what was once a bow. She wears a short Dorian chiton, a himation around her waist, and sandals. Her second toes are longer than her big toes, a condition known as Morton's toe.
The statue was given by Pope Paul IV to Henry II of France in 1556 with a subtle but inescapable allusion to the king's mistress, Diane de Poitiers. It was probably discovered in Italy. One source suggests the Temple of Diana (Nemi), an ancient sanctuary; another posits Hadrian's Villa at Tibur.
"Alone amongst the statues exported from Italy before the second half of the seventeenth century the Diane Chasseresse acquired a reputation outside Italy equivalent to the masterpieces in the Belvedere or the Villa Borghese", though its admirers generally confused it with the Artemis at the temple of Ephesus. It was installed as the central feature of the Jardin de la Reine (today's Jardin de Diane) laid out west of the Galerie des Cerfs at the Château de Fontainebleau; there it was the most prominently displayed and among the first Roman sculptures to be seen in France.
In 1602, Henri IV removed it to the Palais du Louvre, where the Diana was installed in a gallery specially designed to receive it, the Salle des Antiques (now the Salle des Caryatides). At the time, its restorations were revised by Barthélemy Prieur. In 1696 it was installed in the Grande Galerie (Hall of Mirrors) of Versailles by Louis XIV. As one of France's greatest treasures, the Diane Chasseresse returned to the Louvre in An VI (1798) of the French Republican calendar (Haskell and Penny 1981:196). It was restored once more, in 1802, by Bernard Lange.

The restoration of this car, which sits in a little park across the main street from the city offices, was done as an Eagle Scount project by a young man named Rick Martinez. he completed the project in 1993. Sadly, he only lived from 1978-1998. Quite an accomplishment.
