Isabel Hodge, program analyst, office of community support for military Families with special needs, the keynote speaker talks about the challenge we face as the joint services at The Second Annual Joint Services Disabilities Awareness Resource Fair and Roundtable Discussion, Henderson Hall on March 24, on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall at Smith Gym. The JSDARF offered information about available services to any military or DOD Family with special needs in the National Capital Region. The goal is to provide an opportunity for military Families to learn about community resources and services that may enhance their lives, as well as, the lives of their special needs Family member. VIRTLANTIS is a free resource and open community of practice for language learners and teachers in the virtual world of Second Life®. We offer free informal language learning activities for a growing number of languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, etc. All of our activities are offered free of charge by volunteer language teachers and/or native speakers.
Everyone is welcome to offer a language activity at VIRTLANTIS. We provide free resources and ongoing support. We also collaborate with and promote other language communities in Second Life.
In addition to our main island and the various social meeting points at Knowingly, we have additional locations which can be used when needed.

We gladly provide additional support and resources on an as needed basis. We can also modify the look and feel of the island to help create the ideal atmosphere for your event.

One of the key tasks within our project was to establish an effective Resource Center to support other CSOs in Ukraine on public monitoring of the administrative service provision. Thus, we created the Resource Center on the basis of the CSO “Samopomich” (Self-Help) in March 2013. It aims to provide advisory and capacity development support. In the picture, you can see the office premises of the Resource Center in Lviv.
