The Great Salt Lake is a vast resource to the myriad of migratory birds that stop over along the Pacific Flyway
He knows that I'm watching and he doesn't care. Water is scarce in the park right now, most of the sloughs (slews) are dry.

Lately, we are now looking at our environment. Not only for our generation but hers and those after her.
Water is a natural resource that we have to protect. Ground water management plans, protecting our water source is just good common sense practice that we all must look at.
After all, we all need water to survive. It's a fact of life.
So, for her generation and her future generations lets start looking after our planet.

Asteroid Bennu's boulder-covered surface gives it protection against small meteoroid impacts, according to observations of craters by NASA's OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer) spacecraft.
Bennu is a “rubble-pile” asteroid, meaning that it formed from the debris of a much larger asteroid that was destroyed by an ancient impact. Fragments from the collision coalesced under their own weak gravity to form Bennu.
This image shows asteroid Bennu’s boulder-covered surface. It was taken by the PolyCam camera on NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft on April 11, 2019 from a distance of 2.8 miles (4.5 km). The field of view is 211 ft (64.4 m), and the large boulder in the upper right corner of the image is 50 ft (15.4 m) tall. When the image was taken, the spacecraft was over the southern hemisphere, pointing PolyCam far north and to the west.

"Sandpiper 9 this is Camp 6, come in"
"Sandpiper 9 on station. What's up base?"
"Pack it up, Camp 4 reports Aquashark scouts in their vicinity"
"Negative Camp 6, I just laid into a fresh trench"
"Bruce, fold it up and get back here"
"Chuck, listen man. Is this a real report?"
"What are you sayin?"
"Look, I know he's your kid but-"
"But what."
"I'm just saying.. last week it was a giant squid, the week before that reported Stingrays activity. We got quota to meet and every time we shut down we lose an entire day to reset and refuel"
"Quota doesn't matter when you're dead. Pack it up."
"Missing quota might as well be dead."
"What was that, 9?"
"Nothin. Buckets up, back in 30."
This was built for the WackLUG 2022 BrickCon collab, which was absolutely killer. I've had this conveyor belt in my collection for 15 years, laughing at me because I could never find a good use for it. The collab was the perfect moment to finally get it into something.
Quinby, Virginia is a small community in remote Eastern Shore, Virginia. I haven't found any information on this abandoned church building. Its cinderblock construction places its construction date in the early twentieth century or more recently. According to one source, the building dates to 1947 (Contract Publication Series 15-374; HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL RESOURCE SURVEY, EASTERN SHORE, ACCOMACK AND NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES, VIRGINIA)
