Reseda, CA – This where I live, stay, create, think, and come up with ideas. I’ve build things out of wood, brewed beer, and wrote stories. A place where things happen and sometimes forgot. Some say a man needs a cave, I say a man needs a place. A place to be, creative and be himself.

Weld is one of the oldest known plants used for dyeing it produces a bright lemon yellow and when over dyed with Woad it becomes Lincoln green.
I'm fascinated by this photo I found on the internet.
This is the Reseda Theatre I visited in my youth. In fact, I watched both of these movies at this theatre in 1966. I had a blast watching Munsters Go Home and The Gost & Mr. Chicken staring Don Knotts.
The photo shows the Drag-U-LA car on display in front of the theatre. The car was custom built by George Barris and used in the movie and tv series. When I watched these movies here the car was not on display. But if it was I would have been thrilled!
Let me reminisce...at the time I was friends with two brothers, Greg and Mark. The three of us were excited to watch these movies and The Munsters was a popular tv show at the time. Mom gave us some extra spending money so that we could stock up on candy and snacks from the Sav-On drug store just a few doors away from the Reseda Theatre. My older sister drove the three of us to the theatre in her 57 Chevy. Wow, what a blast!

Reseda, CA - The well known Phillips Head was invented by Henry F. Phillips in around 1935, he was from Portland, Oregon. Chevrolet was one of the first companies to adopt this design. Even if you weren't wondering the end of a screw (pointy end) is called a lip.
Although I've been taking pictures since childhood, macro-photography is new to me. I don't even own a macro lens, This was taken using a cheap macro extender tube (approximately $15 US) attached to a 40mm pancake lens.
One of the reasons why I like photography so much is that it can constantly challenge creativity and it seems to never get old.

RESEDA - A compact sedan struck a stationary school bus, after the former vehicle was involved in a collision at the intersection of White Oak Avenue and Victory Boulevard on the afternoon of April 9, 2018. Picture taken in Av La Capilla, in the capital city of San Salvador. These trees have two dominant colors: light purple and light rose. They are just starting to flower now and will reach their pinacle in February in all the municipality of San Salvador. Known as crape myrtle or crepe myrtle is a species from China, Korea, Japan and Indian Subcontinent Lagerstroemia indica is an often multi-stemmed, deciduous tree with a wide spreading, flat topped, rounded, or even spike shaped open habit. Planted in full sun or under canopy, the tree is a popular nesting shrub for songbirds and wrens. Very popular in El Salvador and used largely for urban landscaping.
Foto hecha en la Avenida La Capilla. Están empezando a aparecer estas flores pues son muchos colores, especialmente la rosada y esta de color morado. Creo q es el árbol más presente en las calles del municipio.
Resedá é uma árvore (outra variedade bem maior em tamanho) muito usada para o embelezamento urbano da cidade de San Salvador, na América Central. Predominam as de cor rosa e estas, de cor roxa, clara. São muito bonitas e os morcegos comem os caroços gerados depois da florada. No Brasil, resedá. Tem presença importante e especialmente as árvores menores. Tem flores rosadas, vermelhas e brancas.

Reseda, CA - This was taken awhile ago at a local skatepark that was near my house at the time. One of my favorite pastimes was to grab the camera and practice taking action shots of the skateboarders.

Autrefois cultivée intensivement pour ses propriétés tinctoriales, cette espèce donnait la meilleure des teintures en jaune (couleur paille à citron) suivant la quantité de plante utilisée, généralement autant que de fibre à teindre) du point de vue de la solidité. Elle était anciennement très appréciée, des graines d"époque néolithique en ayant été retrouvées dans les fouilles de cités lacustres en Suisse. La France en était devenue le premier exportateur au milieu du XIXème siècle (cf. P Jauzein)..
