Nearly 300 experts working to address the complex illegal wildlife trade (IWT) issue worldwide joined us to discuss how we can collaborate and address research gaps to ensure the best evidence is informing action and policy (www.illegalwildlifetrade.net/iwt18event). A large delegation of the Evidence to Action organisers and presenters were then invited to attend the UK government’s London Conference on the Illegal Wildlife Trade 2018 to further represent research and help close the divide between evidence and policy. A summary of the research evidence on the trade’s scale, impacts and complexity, the remaining evidence gaps and how we can move forward efficiently following the events, can be found in the Briefing Note (osf.io/preprints/socarxiv/35ndz/).

Fifty-four students representing the four campuses of the University of Missouri System participated in Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol on March 15. The annual event gives students an opportunity to share with state lawmakers the wide variety of undergraduate research taking place across the university system.
The student researchers were selected in a competitive process to present their projects to Missouri’s elected officials, and included 24 students from the University of Missouri-Columbia, 19 from Missouri University of Science and Technology, nine from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and two from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

A research station operated by the Australian Antarctic Division and staffed by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology hosted ARM instruments for the Macquarie Island Cloud and Radiation Experiment (MICRE). The MICRE field campaign took place from March 2016 to March 2018.
The purpose of MICRE was to make observations of the surface broadband radiative fluxes in combination with other measurements useful in characterizing cloud and aerosol properties.

DeustoTech, el instituto de investigación asociado a la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Deusto, celebró el 20 de enero de 2023 el primer “Research Day” en una jornada matinal.
