C of I research teams are crisscrossing Southwest Idaho to document the region’s unique and largely unknown flora, providing research opportunities for the College's undergraduates.
The "Rice: research to production" course, held for the second time on 19 May-6 June at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), brought together 29 participants from 13 countries across the developed and developing world.
The participants included undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows from developed countries such as Canada, Japan, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and scientists from developing countries such as Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mozambique, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation in the United States, the Gatsby Foundation in the United Kingdom, and IRRI, the course also seeks to reverse the one-way traffic of recent decades that has seen thousands of young scientists from the developing world studying and then taking jobs in the developed world.
Students from the developed countries, many of whom had never set foot in a rice field before, began to understand the challenges rice farmers face in simply trying to grow enough food to feed themselves and their families.

The European Researcher's Night took place on 27 September 2013, allowing participants both young and old the chance to speak to experts on space science in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Fifty-four students representing the four campuses of the University of Missouri System participated in Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol on March 15. The annual event gives students an opportunity to share with state lawmakers the wide variety of undergraduate research taking place across the university system.
The student researchers were selected in a competitive process to present their projects to Missouri’s elected officials, and included 24 students from the University of Missouri-Columbia, 19 from Missouri University of Science and Technology, nine from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and two from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

ADAS research centre buried deep in the Kent countryside – they use to do all sorts of agricultural experiments here. Went over a year ago but dug out a few extra shots. The place was so full of damp; most of the labs had massive amounts of mould growing in them. The entire place just had this really eerie feel to it !

My Fine Art research really informed my practice later on in my fashion work so I included it here as well. I really enjoyed learning about Dadaism and Surrealism and it has become my favourite art movements.

The 2014 Field Day was held at Forage Systems Research Center on Sept. 23. Producers and FFA students from across the area visited for the annual educational workshop at the center near Linneus, Mo.
Lunch is served in the new FSRC main building.

This project related to both Taryn Simon’s process and content. As a field photographer, Simon’s process involves taking notes about people she interviews in addition to researching their background information. Students were asked to simulate this process by interviewing and recording conversations with a family relative or community member at home, over the 12-week semester. The main goal of this project was to get students to interact with family relatives or community members in a fun, dynamic, and informative way.
