As requested, a DARKWATER Military guide showing the most common standards.
Biological Countermeasures:
DARKWATER´s hazard gear is most commonly seen on Countermeasures Units in Research Facilities. Those Troops aren´t commonly seen on the battlefield, but instead inside labs, watching, guarding or carrying out experiments. All Countermeasures Units were undergoing basic combat training and are therefore able to theoretically participate in combat like normal Infantry units, this would however be a waste of their potential. Out of all DARKWATER Units, the Countermeasures Units are the only Troops directly and only under the command of DARKWATER´s chairman, main shareholder who is also responsible for DARKWATER´s mostly questionable research.
Advanced Infantry Mk I:
DARKWATER´s high tech future soldier is carrying a symbiotic armor offering increased self healing abilities and a maximum of in combat assistance and protection as well as full body blast shielding. The Advanced Infantry Mk I performs as both, DARKWATER´s Spec Ops and its strongest unit for battlefield deployment. Due to the immense costs per unit and long training, DARKWATER does however prefer not to deploy these soldiers in too risky combat situations, while they still consider it as the best soldier on the world. The Advanced Infantry Mk I is well trained in airborne deployment and can also operate int he role of an airborne unit.
Specialists:
Officer candidates of DARKWATER are seen operating along the normal Infantry to gain more in combat experience. Additionally DARKWATER´s specialists commonly also have advanced training in engineering, piloting and hacking to be assisting combat forces in effective ways.
Riot Defense / Capture Troopers:
DARKWATER units with additional training in non lethal combat and crowd control. Those Units can often be seen guarding DARKWATER facilities, VIPs or capturing priority targets in covert operations. Riot Defense / Capture Troopers commonly operate alongside other DARKWATER Units.
Infantry:
DARKWATER´s most common Troop Standard is the normal infantry unit. Those operate in frontline combat and as facility guards directly under the command of DARKWATER´s Military wing and DARKWATER Command. DARKWATER´s infantry features combat assistance systems such as reflex boosters and painkiller systems integrated into the combat gears medical systems. Optical support, increased physical strength, sub dermal armor and self healing system, such as the ones of the Advanced Infantry are however missing.
Scouts:
Scouts are the eyes and ears of DARKWATER Command and mostly operate in covert operations. Apart from DARKWATER´s multiple undercover agents, Scouts are DARKWATER´s most common way to gain information. They carry light gear and often feature visual support systems, while it happens rarely, Scouts are also deployed in combat because they are more agile than most other DARKWATER units.
September 1983 and Talsarnau station has no passengers and therefore the Swindon Crosscountry 3-car DMU has not stopped to pick up or set down.
At the time I was disappointed that the train hadn't stopped as this meant that my going away shot had the unit fairly distant however with the passage of time I really rather like this.
As you can imagine the station has changed a little, the small signal cabin has gone but the rest of the buildings survive and a waiting shelter has been added to the left.
All trains call only on request. The station building is now a private residence.
Harlech Castle is visible in the distance though with the increase in vegetation it no longer stands out so prominently.
In early 2015, Talsarnau was one of several stations on the Cambrian Coast Line to get a Harrington Hump (rather than raising the whole platform, a raised area is built where the middle doors of the train are when it stops at Talsarnau) made of paving slabs, cement and tarmac. This means that for those getting off or on the train through the middle doors of the train, the vertical step is very much reduced.

The semaphore signal visible is one of three semaphores remaining at Mittagong. The signal was used to authorise down trains into the now removed up refuge.

I got a request by flickr mail for a white blouse, black skit, off bulk hose and black pumps, here it is. CK black pencil, button down blouse on sale at Steinmarts, Hanes off black thigh high hose and J Rene black patent sling back pumps. I thought I would look like a waitress but now I think more a hostess.
this ones a request from my good buddy hepe who, "...kinda miss the war zone known as Manila on New Year's eve. :)"... this isn't really a shot from nye... i couldn't get any good shots that night. everyone started early around 9pm and when i got home at 10pm the whole city skyline was enveloped in pyro smoke. thus, rendering the balcony totally useless! got a few more though from this same night... will post them around chinese new year which is in... uhmm... 2 weeks! =)

The selection of model is very important in the glamour shot so Apparel & Undies project.
In this case the model is perfectly great for the assignment.
However, the chair & the backdrop need to be improved. Curtain behind is somewhat distracting.
The top right & top left lighting need to me improve not to be over burn.
I am not sure what is the adjustment for the white balance in the original shot. I like to recommend that the red tone should be reduced further. Perhaps the room wall directly opposite the model is a little on the pink tone. Thus giving the texture more red cast.
Bottom right should have a reflector to bring more balance of light.
A flash behind the low center of the image would gives the light profile of the model & make the subject stand-out!!
The skin texture have been smoothed by the noise reduction feature of the Corel Paintshop Pro Xi.

ENGLISH:
The town of Simancas receives its name from the medieval legend that consisted of the request of seven maidens in the times of Abd al-Rahman II, when the Iberian Peninsula was practically dominated by Muslims.
In the kingdom of León, King Mauregato had established in the year 783 a tribute to each town consisting of giving young women as tribute to the Muslims. Half of those maidens had to be of noble lineage and would become the wives of soldiers and Mozarabic lords, and the other half would serve as slaves. Young women had to be single, virgin, beautiful and submissive.
For more than a century the tribute was replaced by money, but with the arrival to the throne of Ramiro I the emir decided to demand maidens again. It was up to Simancas to deliver seven, but that year the 7 selected ladies of the town decided to tear their faces, cut their hair and self-mutilate their left hand so that the Arabs would not want them.
And so it was, Abd al-Rahman II pronounced the phrase: "IF YOU GIVE THEM TO ME WITH HANDLES, I DO NOT WANT THEM WITH HANDLES (mancas)", since with those physical defects the girls were not worthy of his harem. Thus the girls were freed from being used as merchandise, and from that phrase the name of the town arose.
This act of bravery by the seven heroines provoked the attack of the offended Muslims, and the Christians had to defend themselves, with their victory in the battle of Clavijo this tribute was abolished forever.

La localidad de Simancas recibe su nombre por la leyenda medieval que consistió en el requerimiento de siete doncellas en tiempos de Abderramán II, cuando la península ibérica estaba prácticamente dominada por los musulmanes.
En el reino de León el rey Mauregato había instaurado en el año 783 un tributo a cada pueblo consistente en entregar mujeres jóvenes como tributo a los musulmanes. La mitad de esas doncellas debían ser de noble linaje y se convertirían en las esposas de militares y señores mozárabes, y la otra mitad servirían como esclavas. Las jóvenes tenían que ser solteras, vírgenes, bellas y sumisas.
Durante más de un siglo el tributo se sustituyó por dinero, pero con la llegada al trono de Ramiro I el emir decidió volver a reclamar doncellas. A Simancas le correspondía entregar siete, pero ese año las 7 damas seleccionadas del pueblo decidieron rasgar sus caras, cortar su pelo y automutilar su mano izquierda para que los árabes no las desearan.
Y así fue, Abderramán II pronunció la frase: "SI MANCAS me las dais, mancas no las quiero", ya que con esos defectos físicos las muchachas no eran dignas de su harén. Así las muchachas se libraron de ser usadas como mercancía, y de esa frase surgió el nombre del pueblo.
Este acto de valentía de las siete heroínas provocó el ataque de los ofendidos musulmanes, y los cristianos tuvieron que defenderse, lo cual lograron con su victoria en la batalla de Clavijo gracias a la cual este tributo fue abolido para siempre.

As requested in DPReview, a black and white version of this path. Started off in Silver Efex along with some cropping in Elements, then tone and border in BWEffects with some Topaz Clarity to finish it off.

For a 22nd birthday. Request was for a black teddy bear and rainbow and also a 22 somewhere? I thought hmmm Ok how am I going to fit all of this on a cupcake?? It's amazing how much you can actually fit on a cupcake if you try!! LOL

Chris, my wonderful MIL gave me that print. She found it in an antique store in Tampa, Florida, many years ago. The frame looks like it's from the turn of the century, (19th, not 20th.) ;-) This wall is just a hodge-podge of inexpensive prints, for the most part. Just stuff I picked up here and there, or was given to me.
Tommy sleeps on the other side of that wall, in an adjoining bedroom because we BOTH snore! Haha! So no, he doesn't have to look at all my girly "stuff".

The retro water fountain was turned on by request. For some reason, it was off in the middle of the day and apparently, I was the only one who noticed. I've been photographing this beauty for almost 20 years and I couldn't miss it on my walk while testing a camera.
