I was reading a blog post on small business SEM from Matt McGee and decided to do a search from that article.

The search was for: "small business reputation management" www.google.com/search?q=small+business+reputation+management

At the bottom of page 1, was this new integration -- clearly a part of the Google Buzz implementation.

And, unless you're connected to the same people as me you won't see this. Interesting.

Online Reputation Police Deals with Online Reputations by means of guarding them by restoring damaged reputations. Have you ended up the target connected with some bad media. Are unfavorable remarks or assessments ranking high in the actual search engine results for yourself, your own brand or enterprise?

Images, media, product placement, reputation management, events!

So the kinect device for Xbox 360 is finally available. Got known people in Beta program, tried it and the experience is unmatched. It is nice innovation which opens a new way of gaming. Dance central as a game is the best out of the collection so far.

Surprisingly, there are quite some negative reviews flying around today. Excluding the very obvious contamination reviews at Amazon, etc, quite some news site give 6 or 7 to the device due to "lack of titles", "requires large space", or "laggy". Leaving the very obvious good thing in the dark. It is just funny (or disappointing) to see that the world innovation is yet to be mentioned and quite some people in the feedback brought back old school stuff like RROD or like "PS moves are cheaper"...

Seriously? Why so much hate and why leave in the past?

Lesson learnt in the hard way: 一个品牌一旦曾经被损害过,再修复是很难的,因为有些人们已经没办法用rational的眼光去看待发展,很多时候只是带着有色眼镜在选择性忽略一些东西

客观点不行么?最近做用户体验的一点感觉就是,每个人都有自己的观点,因为每个人都是用户——但,以偏概全或者对自己不懂的东西置若罔闻,就是很令人不快的一件事情了

This is a photograph from the annual Na Fianna AC "Bob Heffernan" 5KM Road Race and Fun Run which was held in Johnstownbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Tuesday 19th May 2015 at 20:00. The race has gained a glowing reputation as being one of the fastest 5KM road races in Ireland. This race commemorates the years of work and volunteering that local man Bob Heffernan gave to Meath, Leinster, and Irish athletics from grass roots upwards and his work with the host club Na Fianna AC who have a catchment area in this part of rural North Kildare and South Meath. The race, known affectionately by club-members as simply "Bob's race" is a fitting tribute to commemorate his contribution to this sport. Today's race had another very large attendance with over 420 registered participants. There was a wonderful atmosphere as runners from all over Leinster gathered for a great night's racing. The very changeable and unseasonably weather of late made for an unpredictable night weather wise. A shower of hail fell on runners between 2KM and 3KM and yet this shower didn't fall on the finish area at the Hamlet Court Hotel.

This race is part of the annual Meath Road Race League despite the fact that the race is run completely in County Kildare. The Na Fianna club, who organise the race, have a catchment area of South Meath and North West Kildare. The current route for the race has stayed the same over the past few years. However previous to that the race was held in Enfield and also Rathmoylan in County Meath. This road race has grown from strength to strength year on year and is now one of the premier 5KM races in Ireland and one of the top club attended races in Leinster. The race starts on the busy Enfield to Endenderry road and this requires a big effort from stewards and marshalls. However, as always, the event was a resounding success with personal bests and great runs from many of the participants.

The Na Fianna Athletic Club are a small, but well established, athletics club. This race is an example of how road racing should be organised and how a small race can turn itself and evolve into something which achieves near legendary status amongst runners.

We have a large set of photographs from the finish of the race and they are available on our Flickr photostream at www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/sets/72157653107820532

BUT..... Wait there a minute....

We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. We do not charge for our photographs. Our only "cost" is that we request that if you are using these images: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, VK.com, Vine, Meetup, Tagged, Ask.fm,etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us or acknowledge us as the original photographers.

This also extends to the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. If you do not know how this should be done for Facebook or other social media please email us and we will be happy to help suggest how to link to us.

I want to download these pictures to my computer or device?

You can download this photographic image here directly to your computer or device. This version is the low resolution web-quality image. How to download will vary slight from device to device and from browser to browser. Have a look for a down-arrow symbol or the link to 'View/Download' all sizes. When you click on either of these you will be presented with the option to download the image. Remember just doing a right-click and "save target as" will not work on Flickr.

I want get full resolution, print-quality, copies of these photographs?

If you just need these photographs for online usage then they can be used directly once you respect their Creative Commons license and provide a link back to our Flickr set if you use them. For offline usage and printing all of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution.

Please email petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com with the links to the photographs you would like to obtain a full resolution copy of. We also ask race organisers, media, etc to ask for permission before use of our images for flyers, posters, etc. We reserve the right to refuse a request.

I would like to contribute something for your photograph(s)?

Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers or in other circumstances we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

Let's get a bit technical: We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs

We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?

The explaination is very simple.

Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.

ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.

Above all what Creative Commons aims to do is to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

Because we're all connected now. We all talk.

This place has a reputation as THE best town to visit for young travelers to Europe, and why not? It's gorgeous with perfectly preserved gothic, renaissance and baroque architecture, and a Unesco site; it's surrounded by the Vltava which loops around the city which in turn spreads @ the 2nd largest castle in Bohemia sitting high on a cleft promontory, itself an imposing, unusual beauty of a time-capsule; it presents great views (incl. this here), and it's affordable with good food and great Czech beer. I spent a few days here. Even though I was here in the wrong season, I met a large number of anglophone tourists incl. a bunch from Australia and a couple of girls from P.E.I. of all places. We all had supper one night in Krčma v Satlavské Ulici (I think, going from the photos of the place online), a restaurant with a medieval theme in what might have once been a wine cellar or a powder magazine (a windowless brick room with long tables and candles under a low, arched brick ceiling). We ate well and drank much mead. (That might've been my introduction to mead?) Delicious!

- Český Krumlov, "the settlement, arose beneath the castle, which was built from @ 1240 by a local branch of the noble Vítkovci family. ... Located at a ford of an important trade route in the Kingdom of Bohemia, a settlement arose soon afterwards below the castle. The Czech name Krumlov is documented as early as 1259. In 1302 the Vítkovci line became extinct and King Wenceslaus II ceded the town and castle to the Rosenberg family. Peter I of Rosenberg (d. 1347), the Lord Chamberlain of King John of Bohemia, lived here and had the present upper castle erected in the early 14th century. The majority of inhabitants were German-speaking at that time, having migrated from neighbouring Austria and Bavaria. In the late 15th century, when gold was found next to the town, German miners came to settle, which further shifted the ethnic balance. In 1602 William's brother Peter Vok of Rosenberg (1539-1611) sold Krumlov to the Habsburg emperor Rudolf II, who gave it to his natural son Julius d'Austria. Following the Bohemian Revolt and the Battle of White Mountain in 1620, Emperor Ferdinand II gave Krumlov to the noble House of Eggenberg. From 1719 (when the Eggenberg line died out) until 1947 the castle belonged to the House of Schwarzenberg. In 1910, there were 8,662 inhabitants in 'Krummau an der Moldau', incl. 7,367 Germans and 1,295 Czechs. ... By the end of 1918 the Czechoslovak army had occupied the region, which became part of Czechoslovakia. In 1938 it was annexed by Nazi Germany, as part of the Reichsgau Oberdonau unit of Sudetenland under the Munich Agreement. After WWII the town's German-speaking population was expelled and the town was returned to Czechoslovakia."

- This was the first in quite a number of cities or towns that I toured this trip which had been built and were long inhabited by Germans who'd been forced out sometime in the last century or 2, and are inhabited today by Slavs or Romanians, including nearby Český Budejovic, Levoca and Bardejov in Slovakia (also Unesco sites), and Bistrita, Sighisoara, Biertan, Dupus, Sibiu, Sebes, Medias, Brasov and Prejmer in Romania. Most (all?) are impressive time capsules.

- I bought a guidebook for the town, walked all @ in a self-guided tour, took in the churches and a series in a list of renaissance and baroque houses from street to street, some sgraffitoed, others with well-preserved exterior frescoes, and toured an exhibit of works by the Austrian expressionist painter and frequent visitor, Egon Schiele. The main sight to see is the castle, unusually large for a town this size and which contains over 40 bldg.s. It was closed for the season, but when I walked up through a series of elaborate courtyards to the entrance a construction or maintenance worker kindly took me in to show me 2 of the more beautiful and famous rooms, incl. the 'Masquerade hall', its walls covered in frescoes with scenes of jesters and performers, people in costume, wearing masks, etc. "In 1748, the Viennese painter Josef Lederer decorated the walls of the Hall with figures of theatrical themes, thus the name." www.castle.ckrumlov.cz/docs/en/zamek_3nadvori_histma.xml (I'll scan and upload a photo I took in it sometime.) I tried to give the kind man a tip but he wouldn't take any $$.

- I've read that the castle is home to the best preserved baroque theatre in the world in its original form (and 1 of only 4 surviving in Europe), which dates from 1767 and hosts performances for the public only twice a year.

- From here to Český Budejovice (pron. Chesky Byoo-day-oh-vitz).

Online Reputation Management, or ORM as it is popularly known, is the task of removing negative publicity about a corporate or an individual from the online sources, so that there is more space created for positive publicity. The bad reviews, news and comments about the entity is either removed or pushed so low in the search engines that people do not reach them.

Worry more about your conscience than your reputation.

Because conscience is what you are and reputation is what others think you are.

And what others think is their problem.
