Un équipage international d’astronautes est missionné par une société privée sur Europe, l’une des Lune de Jupiter, pour y chercher d’éventuelles traces de vie. Après un atterrissage catastrophique dû à une défaillance technique, le contact avec la Terre est perdu. Les 6 astronautes se retrouvent seuls sur cette planète glacée, et sont bien loin d’imaginer ce qu’ils vont y découvrir…

Six astronautes internationaux sont envoyés sur Europe, l'une des quatre très grosses lunes de Jupiter, afin de forer la surface de glace qui les sépare d'un océan profond de 90 km d'eau et chercher s'il y a une présence de vie extraterrestre… Malgré une panne technique catastrophique où toutes les communications avec le contrôle de mission sur Terre sont perdues et une série de crises meurtrières, l'équipage continue sa mission. N'ayant aucun moyen de décoller de la lune, et alors que le module d'atterrissage menace de sombrer dans l'océan à tout instant, les astronautes sacrifient leurs dernières réserves pour envoyer vers la Terre l'intégralité des données et vidéos de la mission...
Europa Report is a 2013 science fiction film directed by Sebastián Cordero, starring Christian Camargo, Anamaria Marinca, Michael Nyqvist, Daniel Wu, Karolina Wydra and Sharlto Copley. A found footage film, it recounts the fictional story of the first crewed mission to Europa, one of the four Galilean moons of Jupiter. Despite a disastrous technical failure that causes the loss of all communications with Earth mission control and a series of crises, the crew continues its mission to Europa and finds mounting evidence of life on the moon
