Repeating herself like a broken record, forever stuck in the loops of play-stop-eject, played-stopped-ejected, rejected, rejected, rejected
These repeating windows caught my eye on the side of the Novotel Hotel building in Darling Harbour, Sydney. It reminds me of the smells and that feeling of developing your black and white film in a darkroom.... and that feeling of excitedly opening up the developing canister to see what shots you got! Ahhh the good old days before digital :-)

I took this photo on my way through the park to visit the dental hygienist this morning. This afternoon I have been cleaning the house as Frances is coming over for supper - and Max came in to talk, life is hard for him right now - and so it seems that I shall be catching up with everyone tomorrow.
A bicycle rack outside Denver Botanic Gardens.
I've been traveling and too busy for Flickr. I'll catch up on comments over the next few days.
Repeating curves mark this location in the Animas River Canyon as D&RGW #473 and #476 race toward Silverton Colorado on October 16, 2023.
OK. Sorry for repeating myself, but I really do find the feedback helpful. I've gone back to the drawing board with the original images and gone wider (pushing the processing power and RAM of this machine to its limits). I have treated colour and tone differently to, to ensure that the bright left is not too harsh. I think this one works better.
Please let me know what you think?
My first thought was of the First Partition of Poland. Putin is asexual and seems to like horses so he could fill in nicely for Catherine. Donny has the general demeanor of a short man of dubious sexuality overcompensating for a general lack of traditional masculine traits and would fill in nicely for Freddy the Great.
Then again Chamberlain and Hitler are a classic choice.
repeating the wedding theme - taken at my friend's wedding on Sat night
this was the ribbon on the rolled napkin & is not converted to b&w tho it sure looks it
Repeating the trick?
Same river (the Tay), different location (Birnam)… I wondered if I could capture something similar to yesterday’s image. There was a branch dipping into the water. But it was too far away from the bank and the river was flowing too fast.
Rather than give up and walk away, I moved around a bit along the river bank and changed my camera height a few times. I persevered until I found this scene – with the stones in the foreground and the river and Dunkeld Bridge in the background.
I made sure that the focus area was set for the foreground, with the rest of the photo recognisable but not sharp. It wasn’t the shot that I’d hoped for, but it’s a decent second best.

Meine erste Idee fürs Thema: Etwas Buntes und Fröhliches.
Natürlich gibt es auch noch "seriösere" Fotomotive. Aber das hier war und ist mein Favorit.
My first idea for the topic: Something colourful and happy.
Of course there are also more "serious" photo motifs. But this was and is my favorite.
Für "Crazy Tuesday" Thema "Repeating Object" (19.05.2020).
Keep on smiling and 😄 HaPpY CrAzY Tuesday 😄 everyone and stay healthy!
Repeating yesterday in Marion Ohio. Happy to see idea of a covered bridge is still in option in this day and age. May it stand the test of time.

LIGHT BLOOM by HYBYCOZO is a limited-time exhibit where nature and light converge. This mesmerizing display invites you to explore the Garden transformed by stunning geometric light installations that illuminate the beauty of the desert landscape in a new way. As the sun sets, LIGHT BLOOM comes to life, casting intricate shadows and vibrant hues across the Garden. Wander the trails and let the enchanting installations transport you to a magical realm where the natural world meets the abstract.
HYBYCOZO is the collaborative studio of artists Serge Beaulieu and Yelena Filipchuk. Based in Los Angeles, their work consists of larger than life geometric sculptures, often with pattern and texture that draw on inspirations from mathematics, science, and natural phenomena. Typically illuminated, the work celebrates the inherent beauty of form and pattern and represents their ongoing journey in exploring the myriad dimensions of geometry. HYBYCOZO is short for the Hyperspace Bypass Construction Zone, a nod to their favorite novel (The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) and was the title of their first installation in 2014. They continue to create under this name. In the novel earth was being destroyed to make way for a bypass. It lead Serge and Yelena to ask what it means to make art at a time where the earth’s hospitable time in the universe may be limited.

Q: Walk us through your creative process?
A: The focus of our creative process is to explore the intricate interplay between geometry, light, space and to inspire contemplation, wonder and a sense of place among our audiences. Geometry and pattern-making serve as the backbone of our creative expression. It is the framework through which we navigate the complexities of form, proportion and spatial relationships. Patterns, both simple and complex, have a profound impact on our perception and understanding of the world. They possess the ability to evoke a sense of order, balance and aesthetic pleasure. Pattern making and geometry offer us a means of storytelling and communication. These patterns serve as conduits for deeper exploration, provoking introspection and contemplation to uncover the underlying symbols embedded within the human psyche.
Q: What inspired the concept of LIGHT BLOOM?
A: Just as many cactus and desert plants have evolved to produce night-blooming flowers, adapting to their environment and thriving in darkness, our sculptures come alive after sunset, blossoming with light and transforming the night into a glowing landscape of art and geometry.
Desert Botanical Garden has an incredible collection of plants and cacti arranged in a beautiful park setting.
"Think the desert is all dirt and tumbleweeds? Think again. Desert Botanical Garden is home to thousands of species of cactus, trees and flowers from all around the world spread across 55 acres in Phoenix, Arizona."

Once they accept me being in the vicinity they feed at will grabbing bits of seed before flying off to cache it, returning and repeating the process on a regular basis.
