A repeating, ticking sound woke me up in the middle of the night. The prey was the source of the sound.
Exploring the theme of repeating elements on a façade of a building. The consequent series of images show how the use of repeating elements on a building façade creates continuity within the façade, at the same time differentiating each building from the next despite consistent composition. The low angle allows a variety of textures to be captured and sense of depth despite capturing a planar surface.
This photo meets requirement four, repeating patterns. The repeating pattern is the brick, though it isn't the focus of the photo, which I really like about it. This ugly light makes a super sharp and cool triangular shadow which cuts the brick pattern.
Shutter speed: As is the case with most of the photos I took this day, I used a very fast shutter speed (1/2500) because it was super bright and I didn't want to over-expose my photo.
Aperture: I used a large aperture of f/2.5 because earlier I was shooting things where I wanted a shallow depth of field, and since everything in this image is all the same distance away from the camera, I didn't need to adjust it to make sure everything was in focus.
ISO: I used an ISO of 100 since it was sufficiently bright out, and I didn't need more light.
