Removed the background to shift all focus on the Snowy Egret. Exposure for the Egret made the background almost all black in the first place. Enjoy!

Here are shown some pictures of the box camera i bought on ebay. It was in pretty bad shape, and the faceplate was damaged to the level i the shutter could not be released. So i decided to have a look.
"Automatic" (timed?) exposure. Return to staring point. The leaf on top of disc covers the area of aperture while the disc travels back.

The button cover held on with contact cement. The silver screw releases top. Other screw is shutter release button. I do not recommend disassembling the shutter release button stack of components. Shutter problems are due to battery connections and the circuit board.

Now that so many trees have been removed from next door's garden I can see onto the street from my bedroom window. Presumably they can also see my place. Time for heavier nets, I think.
