Last night I added the lip of the coaming, let it dry, then removed the form. I then spent a couple of hours drilling, and lashing the two pieces together.
It's been extremely hot outside this week, so it was nice to have a piece that I could work on in the comfort of the air-conditioned living-room.

47593 "Galloway Princess" awaits the arrival of 57311 "Institution of Mechanical Engineers" with the 1Z72 Bristol Temple Meads to London Victoria service on 9th December 2025. between 7 and 8.5, the temperature is kept below 100° C. and the magnesium sulphate concentration is less than 25%. These are the values at which the magnesium carbonate trihydrate is precipitated. This resulting magnesite slurry flows over a
flow path to a settling tank and is separated from the aqueous solution therein. The remaining solid magnesium carbonate trihydrate leaves the settling tank via a flow path and enters a calcining kiln1 in which the trihydrate is calcined,
by means of a low-sulphur and low-ash fuel introduced via a line , to form magnesia containing more than 98% of magnesium oxide. The magnesia obtained is removed from the kiln via an outlet . The carbon dioxide which has formed, leaves the kiln
and is fed via a flow path with branches and to the reactors

Great welcoming action to bolster today's Orca Task for meeting at the Swinimosh Nation near Anacortes! Two giant banners, our giant salmon and orca inflatables and orca clad activists from across the region greeted attendees.
Mumblings after the meeting are that the public is speaking eloquently, but the leaders aren't saying much that impresses. By design, 40 stakeholder groups will never acheive consensus and their non-binding recommendations have the potential to merely camoflage a lack of actual leadership by the people with the power - but not necessarily the inclination toward making tough, decisive choices. Most important amongst such leaders is Governor Jay Inslee.
Gov. Inslee spoke these prophetic words, "As go the Orca, so go We."
It sems that in his heart he knows it is time for bold action. It is time that he get comfortable with the idea that that leadership must start with him.
The obvious, most impactful decision he can make is to remove the Lower Snake River dams. They don't pencil out. The power is more replacable than ever despite BPA protestations. The barge transport can be replaced with rail through the purchase and restoration of service on the Camas Prairie Railroad. Irrigation and other issues are solvable. What is truly irreplacable are the orca and the chinook salmon they depend upon.
The Orca task force is not a solution, but it is a gift, in that it provides the public and advocacy organizations an organizing opportunity to build upon the clarion call to action made by orca mother Tahlequah and her pod.
Tahlequah did her part. It is time that we do ours. "When the People Lead, the Leaders Follow." So, let's keep escalating our calls for bold and urgent action, so that Governor Inslee and other leaders understand that successful implementation of dam removal is an existential requirement for them to remain politically relevant - now - and to future generations.

Woody weeds were removed by cutting down, small amounts of systemic poison and then left to mulch out the area.
Coonabarabran Girl Guide units and the District Support team have focused on a project for 2010 to repair and restore the creek which crosses the the Guide property.
The Coonabarabran District Support team were successful in applying for a grant from the Central West Catchment Management Authority for plants, minor fencework and building of small embankments to pool water when the creek flows.

This is the new sink + cupboard combo we bought, what, two years ago? It was on sale, dammit.
Anyways, an expected problem: the thing was designed to be place snugly against the wall. The sink has 2 holes where you add screws that directly attach to drywall! And so is the cupboard! Ouch, I have remove the baseboard for the width of the thing.
Also, the drain hole is misaligned with the p-trap. I have to move the p-trap towards the wall by an inch. As you know in plumbing you can't "move" anything, you have to redo (because everything is glued down with all the fragrant adhesives).. so, a new p-trap is in order.. sigh.
