Sketch showing the principle of using two pairs of radii, each pair centred on the distant vanishing points – for 2-point perspective – both horizontal and vertical. As long as these radii can be drawn it doesn't matter how far the VPs are away from the drawing centre. Using visual angular interpolation to work between the nearest points is not difficult, obviously the more angle points there are the easier it is. This method, I find, is far preferable to making (and numbering) marks on straight lines, because those marks are not equi-spaced, whereas those on a radius are.
This method is easily extended to cover 3 & 4 point perspective drawing

If an author writes, "The king died and then the queen died," there is no plot for a story. But by writing, "The king died and then the queen died of grief," the writer has provided a plot line for a story.
Remote control version of Starscream from the movie. He's made of lightweight foam and flies fairly easily as long as you have a wide open area.

It's been such a tropically warm day I've been out on my bike and picnicking in the sun. Enjoying myself so much I forgot to take a photo until this evening whilst watching the telly box.

I like that I can use the XApp as a remote for this camera. No need to buy and lose a remote repeatedly.

This is one in a series of four shots I took experimenting with the "digital multiple exposure" technique. This was my longest and, I think, most effective exposure of the series; that is, my ghostly images are the most apparent in this exposure.
How did I do it? I set the camera to its lowest ISO speed and its smallest aperture. I put the camera on a tripod. I set the shooting mode to remote/timer and the shutter speed to bulb. I walked into frame, aimed my remote shutter control at the camera, pressed the button to start a bulb exposure, and held a position for about 45 seconds, then quickly moved to another position and held that for another 45 seconds or so, then pressed the button on my remote to close the shutter.
It was fun being creative. It reminded me of an improvisational acting class.

On our way to Omega Park we drove along the river to get to the ferry. I really liked the view so I asked my boy to take some pictures. He knows a about auto focus and a bit about zooming, however, it was on manual.
It went something like this...
"Push the little button with the green dot on the top." *click*
"No buddy, that takes a picture." "Oh ya..." he says. "Dis juan?" *tch-click*
"Yuuup! - a la Dave from Storage Wars
"Now focus on the trees..." *Zzzt click-click-click
"Buddy...out the other window...across the river..." "But deeze are butter." *pause* "...oh-kay"
Zzzzzt Click-click-click-click "Thank you buddy."
Zzzt-zzzt-zzt. Click-click-click ??
"Daaaad! He is bothering me." -she says in a whiny voice...
"Ok buddy, enough photos of your sister, can you put the camera behind you?"
ZZT-zzt-ZZT Click-click
"Daaaad! He is bothering me again!" -she says in a whinier pitch...
"That's enough buddy."
Zzt-Click
"DAAAD!" - with despair and authority, the kind handed down from wife to daughter...
"Buddy."
"Oh-Kay dad." *pause* "Did eye do good?"
"Awesome." *breath* Just awesome..." :)
This unit is not being manufactured and is not for sale, according to the company. Too bad, as it would be nice to have as a back up to my hand-held remote control unit for this pan/tilt setup.
The ATC is powered by one XL motor and steered by two m-motors. I only had one XL, but it is very easy to modifiy, as the track modules are identical.
Evidence of ancient forest, middle o' nowhere.
I find these all of huge old tree roots in high, remote places quite fascinating. Scotland was a richer place when these lived.
