A pair of Remote Control high hood GP38-2 works a cut of cars at NS Andrews Yard for train E13, that departs later that evening. With NS changing all high hoods to slugs or admiral cabs, scenes like this will be a distant memory in the near future.
This microphone location works great for phone calls. There is an output connector in the rear of the head unit to run the microphone wire from. I used a thin rat-tail file to make a tiny notch for running the microphone wire under the console.
I was surprised to see some folks playing with their remote control boats there! This uncle is enjoying remoting his "speed boat"
This picture was taken at old secluded quarry-turned reservoir (Tampines Quarry Park) in Singapore not known many people.
It is an abandoned sand quarry site. In the old days, loads of sand were trucked off from this area. The cavity left behind in the ground is now covered with water, turning it into a lake.
There are no proper walking paths (just foot path made by the frequent angular and motor boat fanatics), no streetlights, toilet or benches.
There is no entrance nor exit or any signage to Tampines Quarry Park.

I'm sure many homes are now over run with remote controls for various electronic items. I remember the days when we had to get up to switch the TV onto a different channel. Of course, when I lived at home with my parents my dad acted as if he had a remote - he would just point to me and say, "Carol, turn the TV to BBC1." It worked a treat for him!

Red wire is the remote for the subwoofer and amplifier. It feeds from the hidden 12v outlet in the lower front bin. This outlet is switched.
