www.aquaticsphysicaltherapy.com - (941) 924-9525 At White Sands Physical Therapy & Aquatics we have a unique system that is revolutionary for treating back and neck pain. Our facility has a therapeutic pool that is 20’ x 32’ and encompasses depths from 3’ to 6 ½’. The water temperature is maintained at 92°-93° F, which provides a warm & relaxing environment for a variety of exercise formats. We also have a therapy gym where patients receive manual therapy. Patients are taught how to do rehabilitative exercises and practice these exercises. The equipment we use is designed to improve posture while at the same time increase strength and endurance. Modalities to decrease pain and facilitate healing are also done in this gym when needed.

Certainly seem to be many fewer parents in cars picking up their children. Cycling can work in British cities so well, and does relieve congestion on roads, leaving cars for the people who need them (elderly, disabled, and large families).

Relieve, Lonja de la Seda / Lonja de Mercaderes (Relief, Silk Exchange / Merchants' Market), Valencia, Spain
La Lonja de la Seda / Lonja de los Mercaderes (The Silk Exchange / Merchants' Market) was built between 1482 and 1498. It's a unique example of a Gothic style mercantile building indicating the power and wealth of Valencian merchants at that time. The gargoyles leave little doubt as to the secularity of the builders. It was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996.
La Lonja de la Seda de Valencia o Lonja de los Mercaderes fue construida entre 1482 y 1498. Es un ejemplo único de un edificio mercantil de estilo gótico, y es una indicación del poder y la prosperidad de los mercaderes de entonces. Las gargolas no dejan duda de la secularidad del edificio. On 12th January, 2010 a 7.0 earthquake rocked Haiti, killing more than 250,000 and leaving more than 1.3 million residents homeless. EDV responded to the Haiti earthquake in early June 2010, and we are working with Hands Together to Defend the Children Orphanage. The orphanage houses, feeds and cares for 47 children.
The earthquake destroyed the building where the orphanage was previously located, forcing the group to move to a property which flooded.
As there is very little working sanitation in the area, the mud also contained human faeces. Many of the children do not have shoes, so the risk of contracting a waste borne illness was very high. The standing water also provided a haven for mosquitoes which carry malaria and dengue.
Working with our partner organisation, GrassRoots United, we involved community members and international volunteers to dig a large drain which has stopped the flooding and relieved the health problems that had been afflicting the kids.
While we’re happy to have helped protect the health of the children, flooding is only one of the challenges they face. Many of the kids also lack basic items like shoes and appropriate clothing and the orphanage is very overcrowded. We see this drainage project as the first step in a larger initiative which will provide longer-term solutions for these vulnerable children.
