Many people I have met while photographing have connected with me and become friends. Everyone has a story, and I've encountered numerous extraordinarily talented individuals.
I'm humbled by the generosity of individuals willing to spend some time with a curious street photographer.

I know it's not very lady like, but I do enjoy wargaming.
Building and painting up a 12 century Crusade army. Think "Kingdom of Heaven" movie. The painting is very relaxing.
Aaron, relaxing - he has been down to visit me for the pass 6 days and we have had a full schedule - today is a day of rest and he heads home in the morning.
Whelan, "our" male brush turkey, is relaxing after having a dust bath on a very hot day. He is attending his nest mound in our yard a few times every day, adding or removing leaf litter from it to try and keep the temperature at a regular 33 - 38°C. Hopefully before long we will hear the pitter-patter of tiny turkey feet.
While visiting this wonderful sim for one of the clubs there we stopped at this lovely fountain to relax.

A calm surf roles up on Calhau Beach in calheta as the calm sea opens up to an endless ocean, cooled by a light breeze.
Spending a day away from the "madding crowd", our daily chores and onshore busy life, floating in the solitude of cool breeze-laden and vast back-waters of Kerala is truly a relaxing experience.
These House- Boats are fuly furnished one/two bed room houses with attached baths and kitchen. The crew includes one cook too to prepare and serve you local specialities.. Karimeen ( a local fresh water fish)and Konchu(lobster) are well-known sea food varieties.
The houseboats in Kerala, south India, are huge, slow-moving, exotic barges used for leisure trips. They are a reworked model of Kettuvallams (in the Malayalam language, Kettu means "tied with ropes", and vallam means "boat"), which, in earlier times, were used to carry rice and spices from Kuttanad to the Kochi port. Kerala houseboats were considered a convenient means of transportation.
The popularity of Kettuvallams has returned in the function as major tourist attractions.
Such a houseboat is about 60 to 70 feet (18 to 21 m) long and about 15 feet (4.6 m) wide at the middle. The hull is made of wooden planks that are held together by ropes of coconut fiber; the usual wood is 'Anjili'. The roof is made of bamboo poles and palm leaves. The exterior of the boat is painted with protective coats of cashew nut oil.
These hammock poles are such a great idea. It is fun to watch the young people come with their hammocks, books and music after school.

The image was captured at McCoy Flat Reservoir in Lassen County, California, USA. McCoy Flat Reservoir is a flood control/irrigation storage reservoir that sits at nearly 6000 feet elevation and can be a very beautiful place year round for anyone who takes the time to actually stop and take it in. It sits on the edge of California State Route 44 and hundreds of vehicles just scurry by it daily. During periods where it holds water for a few years trout are usually planted in it and they grow very fast due to the plentiful forage available to them.
