My son and I met AIA Guy at the zoo for some shooting. Not a lot of animals out, but it was a lot of fun since I hadn't shot in a while. Stay tuned for some pictures, but don't think I'm back. I'll probably be pretty busy through the holidays.
A cheetah family in the Masai Mara, Kenya! It was about a two hour drive from our camp to where this cheetah family had been hanging out! We heard they had moved closer to the Tanzania border and we were hoping that had not crossed over! We took our chances any way and were excited to see that they were still in Kenya! We felt privileged to have watched them for about three hours! There were 5 cubs in all!

Rummaging through stacks of old watercolour paintings can produce some nice surprises. This is a painting that I created 34 years ago of my lovely, thoughtful wife while she was resting on a sofa. I don't recall if I asked her to pose for me or whether I used a photo reference. (I suspect that it was a mixture of the two.) While I didn't succeed in creating a great portrait, the result has a unmistakeable resemblance of her.
Watercolour on Lanaquarelle paper, 36 x 26 cm (14 x 10 inches).
Fouiller dans des piles de vieilles aquarelles peut produire de belles surprises. Voici un tableau que j'ai réalisé il y a 34 ans, représentant ma charmante et attentionnée épouse, allongée sur un fauteuil. Je ne me souviens plus si je lui ai demandé de poser pour moi ou si j'ai utilisé une photo de référence. (Je soupçonne un mélange des deux.) Même si je n'ai pas réussi à créer un portrait parfait, le résultat lui ressemble indéniablement.
