A smaller version of a saluting veteran that David sculptured for the National Cemetry in Rittman, Ohio. David does admit that while at first he sculpted the body and face of a unknown individual he did add a more personal touch by placing his brother's face as the face of soldier, for his brother is a war veteran.

The Governor was joined by Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn, members of the General Assembly and representatives from the Department of Education to sign a bill that allows parents and
guardians who successfully challenge the denial of services to their child with special needs to recover the costs of expert witnesses hired to advocate for their family. This will assist numerous families who have been unable to pursue appeals for their children due to the prohibitive cost of retaining expert witnesses, resulting in many children receiving special education services believed to be inadequate.

Moses Thomas (1825-1878) was a significant figure in the history of the area now known as the City of Whittlesea, Victoria, Australia. Moses and Ann and their family lived at "Mayfield", Mernda, near Whittlesea, Victoria.
