This is an up close shot of a brightly colored Lego assembly. The candle in the background is white. The lighting of the first photo (Regular) is similar to sunlight, giving off a wide spectrum, and allowing all the colors to showcase themselves. See the colored photo for the color effect.
This photo was taken with a wide aperture and long shutter (short enough to be hand-held). This was in order to capture enough light to take the photo without dropping the ISO considerably (to limit noise). The only post-processing done to either photo was to brighten up the exposure, set the white balance's equal and add some clarity. The same changes were made to both photos. The only difference in settings was that the blue light required a slightly longer shutter speed to properly expose.
Regular thunderstorms came in the late afternoons of high summer. Some 40 minutes to go to the camp from here but we have made it before rain started.
