Älmhult in Southern Sweden is Ikea central. The first Ikea store ever opened here in 1958 and it was recently converted into the Ikea Museum. Across the parking lot is the modern Ikea Hotel where visitors can overnight in single cabins, four-bed family rooms or regular bedrooms. Savings are possible at the Ikea Fynd outlet store next to the modern Ikea furniture store.

Älmhult is a good day trip from Copenhagen or Malmö and Lund or a great stopover when traveling in Sweden.
