Regular visitor to the garden...pity about the foot infection.....

I know I’ve been very scarce on Flickr but I got some ideas to change that.

But anyway, into the content. I’ve always liked making cartoon Customs (I.e. Adventure Time and Ben 10) but I’ve always also wanted to do Regular Show. When I was younger I made a really crappy Mordecai, and ended up selling it and that was that.

Until one day, my friend TCMazz1 posted a human-version of the Regular Show characters. This made me really want some RS customs, and I sculpted and made up Rigby then. Then I enlisted the help of my friend JSparkysteel to sculpt the Mordecai head, and we didn’t end up trading till brickfair.

Now that that’s out, my favourite part of these figures is definitely the torsos and legs, where I sanded the corners to make everything round, and make it look more cartoon like. I also sculpted Mordecai’s little tail feathers!

Thoughts and Suggestions appreciated!!!

A regular visitor in my city garden, though I have no pond. The Common Darter is not very shy and quite abundant. That makes it an easy target. But I still like to see one.

As the lockdown continues, this walk will feature more often I'm sure. Beckfoot Bridge, Bingley

This Train has been a regular feature of the NZ Steam Train Preservation Programme - until, that is, when Covid-19 struck, but this year it's back: the Wellington to Carterton excursion that takes its passengers through to the Wairarapa town of Carterton - simply to pick bundles of Spring daffodils, and to enjoy an open-air Market Day...!

Hauling it's 14 carriage train, (Remember, New Zealand terminology is linked to the United Kingdom!), the Ja-class locomotive (Above) has slowed for the upcoming Grade crossing because, although the train of course has the right-of-way, people were standing woefully close to the tracks!

The photo was taken on a recent Sunday; I'd been out of hospital for just four days, but there was no way I was going to miss this spectacle, and with the help of my son (who agreed to be my "Driver"), I didn't...!

AN UPDATE

I'm rather pleased to report that six hours of Open Heart Quadruple Bypass surgery went rather well, and I've been out of hospital a week now...

Recovery is also going well, but will continue for some weeks to come, so it's likely I wont be able to comment on all your photos for a while yet. However, having said that, be assured that I will as and when I can...!

In the meantime, a very big thank you for all the prayers and messages of support that flooded in from all over the world in the days leading up to the surgery. All I can say is "Thanks be to God - for ALL of you...!!!"

The old post by the jetty has become a regular spot for our local cormorants and shags.

Many thanks to all those who take the time to comment on, fave or simply view my photos. It is truly appreciated.

Although it doesn't feel like it, the end of summer is here as UP's IG4SI runs west through the DMZ separating homeless encampments from industry. Sometimes it makes sense to document the everyday "normal".

L-3958, a Soviet 2-10-0 built in 1955, makes a brief stop at Bologoye-Polotskoye station.

To stimulate tourism in this economically depressed part of the country, in fall of 2018 Russian Railways made the decision to operate the regular local passenger train (6697/6698) from Bologoye to Ostashkov with steam power on Saturdays. While the idea behind it is to increase tourism, make no mistake - this a regular passenger train whose primary job is to serve as a local form of transportation. The vast majority of passengers aren't tourists, but little old babushkas just trying to get from village to village with their jars of mushrooms and pickled tomatoes. This is as authentic of an experience as you can get with a steam-hauled passenger train in the 21st century. The train takes three hours to traverse its 70-mile route and travels at speeds of 30-40 mph, making 13 stops in various villages along the way.

Regular encounters with these around the Darwin area. Taken on our last day up there. A male I believe.

A street portrait of a regular busker on the streets of Bath, this man can be seen performing all over the city any day of the week.

The Sunday afternoon 6Z26 1538 Chaddesdon Sidings - Peak Forest seems to be one that can be relied on to run. Seen approaching Chesterfield where it will get signal checked on Platform 3 awaiting a path over onto the main line .

Regular visitors to this stream will know that butterfly photographs are as rare as hen’s teeth. Just occasionally I manage a half decent one. This is I believe a female Comma a butterfly that you can find mostly in woodland. This one had probably just woken up from its winter hibernation and was having its first decent meal on a Mahonia

More regular stuff!

Hope you all have a nice long weekend!

This is one of the piers along Malmö beach, and the Danish horizon can be seen in the distance (factories etc, with lots of lights), giving a reflection in the water as well.

Take care!

Between the shorter days and regular work at the autoport L516 is seldom seen in the daylight here these days. So it was today by the time they got here. It was a really nice night so when I heard them preparing to switch the siding I went out to sit on the deck and watch. There were 10 empty tie cars to retrieve off the siding, I watched them go about the pickup in the dark. Once they backed down the main the headend lined up precisely with the backyard when they made the joint. I figured it was worth attempting a shot with the power spotted so well. I grabbed the camera out of the house while the conductor was walking back up to the point and set up the Canon on the seat of the old Allis Chalmers B, trying a few test shots. It wasn't long before the conductor climbed up and settled in to update his paperwork. A minute later the highbeams were back on and L516 back underway for Stevens Point.

October 2, 2021.

Regular traffic on this new tram line will start October 21. While this will be a faster line than downtown trams it uses the same narrow track width of 1000 mm. Cities with no such legacy have opted for wider tracks.

Regular shot from sunset during our family holiday weekend :-)

A regular visiter to the garden – the Robin.

A male blackbird (Turdus merula), who is a regular guest at a feeding station in a forest in town.

I guess I'll meet it again tonight, when The Norwegian Ornithological Society arranges an outdoor evening there. They will be ringing and showing birds, and I will show some of my bird photos from both that place and elsewhere in the municipality.

The regular horizontal deposition pattern of the 380Ma Devonian carbonate platforms deposition is interrupted by the deposition of the 100m (330feet) thick Alamo breccia around 378 Ma ago. The Alamo breccia is the result of a large meteorite impact into a shallow sea. The impact generated tsunamis that transported and buried large chunks of the corral beds over a 4000km2 (1400sqmiles) area, with chunks as large as 80x500m (260x1640 ft) as seen here (Yellow hatched area}. The detachment surface is clearly visible to the left, between the jagged yellow layer and the large clast above (arrow)

Hello....I'm a regular visitor to Alison's friend's garden and I wait by the window for nuts and muesli. When I find muesli I eat the fruit first, then the nuts, making sure the birds don't come near, I don't like oats so I leave them and then the birds come and clean up what I have left. Alison does not usually take my picture because she is always forgetting to bring her camera but yesterday she finally remembered it, I posed so well for her many times so you will be seeing lots more of me over the next few days :-)

I'm Cuter Here

The squirrel was on a stick in bright shade while the background was in full sunlight leading to a nice effect.

To my regular followers,

I was away for a while but, due to lack of time, I wasn't able to follow or post much, let alone finish my photos in a decent way. Summer is over and I'm ready.

This photo is again from the series I made in March at the beginning of this year, when I arrived Rüdenheim or almost after an intense hike. Once I stood there and saw how the light fell, now I was back with the camera, the hoped-for freight train did not come with this light at this photo point, but these two shunting locomotives, in the end even better than a full length freight train.

With the weather cooling down I expect to see more mourning doves stopping by for some seeds. spread them in an empty flower planter on my deck railing so the mess stays confined and rain can escape through the holes in the bottom (see previous shot)
