Birth Registration in Amhara by UNICEF Ethiopia

Ato Arega Kebede, Amhara state vital events registration agency , director general .Based on the proclamation on the registration of vital events and national identity card 760/2012, the Amhara rigion Vital Records Registration Agency was first established in 2016. The agency in the region is successful and has achieved milestones within a very short period of time. The region has become a role model for other regions in vital records registration. So far, since its commencement, which is around 10 months, the agency has registered 79% of vital records .©UNICEF Ethiopia/2017/Michael Tsegaye
