Yamaha FZ 750 (2nd Series (1987-89) Engine 749cc liquid-cooled 20-valve DOHC in-line four-cylinder
Decals Marlboro
Registration Number D 991 KTG (Cardiff)
The Yamaha FZ750 is a sports motorcycle, built by Yamaha between 1985 and 1991. The FZ750 is notable for several reasons, perhaps the most radical being the 5-valve cylinder head, which would become something of a Yamaha trademark. The bikes were known for their linear power delivery, with a maximum speed around 140 mph. The engine has a forward-inclined cylinder block which effectively lowers the centre of gravity. This results in a relatively long wheelbase, which hampered it when used for short circuit racing, but lowered the centre of gravity and provided an almost 50/50 weight distribution. What was clear was that Yamaha had considered the engine design as part of the overall package. The FZ 750 was unveiled at the IFMA motorcycle show in Germany in the autumn of 1984.
FZ750 models can be split into three distinct model series. The first 1 Series 1985-87 with short half fairing panels which displayed the forward inclined engine but covered the radiator sides gave the bike a very distinct styling.
The second series 1987-89 saw considerable redesign and a slight weight loss a move to make the machine arguably more suitable for sports touring. Most noticeable was new full fairing panels, new side panels and a redesigned rear subframe that had integrated number plate/rear light. Minor engine changes included slightly shorter pistons and longer connecting rods. A new digital ignition unit that required only a single pickup over the previous twin pickups and repositioned ignition coils.
The third Series 1989-1995 had only minor changes, a more subdued colour schemes. New front brake discs up from 270mm to 300mm floating type, along with 4 piston calipers. The front wheel was now 17" and a slightly wider rear rim made the bike suitable for the latest radial tires and both wheels were a hollow spoke design.
The FZ750 had a successful racing career Unusually at all levels of the sport from Clubman racing to full works International series

The Alfa Romeo Giulia 105 series was introduced as a lightweight main stream vehicle powered by powerful 1.6ltr (1570cc), propelling Alfa Romeo into the mass production league. The car featured a five speed gearbox, rigid axle and coils at the rear and servo disc-drum brakes. Power output is anything from 92 to 102bhp dependant on type and year,
Some early cars came with drum brakes all round. Its 1,570 cc Alfa Romeo Twin Cam engine was fitted with a single Solex 33 PAIA 7 twin-choke down-draft carburettor, and produced 91bhp. The "TI" nomenclature referred to a class of Italian saloon car racing known as "Turismo Internazionale", and had previously been applied to higher-performance versions of the 1900 and Giulietta saloons. four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes and a brake servo were phased in during August 1963,. In May 1964 the gearchange switched from the steering column to floor
The Guilia Super was introduced in 1965, t transferred the technology from the racing TI Super to a road car, to make the most successful Giulia saloon. 1,570 cc engine with two double-choke Weber 40DCOE carburettors for a milder, but torquier tune than the TI Super with an output of 97bhp. Cars featured a more sporty interior, all round disc brakes For 1968, there was a suspension update, including revised geometry and a rear anti-roll bar. other updates included dual-circuit brakes, centre-mounted handbrake lever to replace under-dash affair, larger external door handles, and top-hinged pedals on LHD cars only.
The Giulia Super range was re-released in 1974 as the Nuova Super range, including the Giulia Nuova Super 1300 and 1600 This and featured a new black plastic front grille and a flat boot (trunk) lid without the characteristic centre spine. Otherwise the cars differed little from their Giulia Super predecessors and bore the same Tipo numbers with an S suffix. Production ceased in 1977.

Rynkeby Foods is (with sub-companies included) the largest producer of juices and nectars in the Nordic countries. From extremely humble beginnings in 1934 making apple juice, the company today offers a full range of juices, nectars, shots and more.
So why is there a bike rider on the side of the trailer, you may ask...
Because in 2001, a Rynkeby employee got the idea of riding a bike from Denmark to Paris. Some co-workers joined in, and Team Rynkeby was born. The team got a lot of public attention and sponsorships and the team donated all profits to child cancer research. Since then, the Team Rynkeby ride to Paris has been an annual event and the name is well known by almost every dane.

The Mark III Escort was developed under the code name Erika, and launched in 1980, unlike the Mark II the new car was more than a reskin of the previous generation Escort. The Mark III was a departure from the two previous models, the biggest changes being the adoption of front-wheel drive, and the new hatchback body. The car used Ford's contemporary design language of the period with the black louvred radiator grille and straked rear lamp clusters, as well as introducing the aerodynamic "bustle-back" bootlid stump. Sales in the United Kingdom increased, and by 1982 it had overtaken the ageing Cortina as the nation's best-selling car, beginning an eight-year run as Britain's best selling car.
New were the overhead camshaft CVH engines in 1.3 L and 1.6 L formats, with the older Ford Kent-based "Valencia" engine from the Fiesta powering the 1.1 L. From launch, the car was available in base (Popular), L, GL, Ghia and XR3 trim.
A convertible version, made by coachbuilder Karmann, appeared the same year as the five-door estate (1983). It was the first drop-top car produced by Ford Europe since the Corsair of the 1960s. The Escort Cabriolet was initially available in both XR3i and Ghia specification, but the Ghia variant was later dropped.
To compete with Volkswagen's Golf GTI, a hot hatch version of the Mark III was developed – the XR3. Initially this featured a tuned version of the 1.6 L CVH engine of 96bhp
fitted with a twin-choke Weber carburettor, uprated suspension and numerous cosmetic alterations.
The car lacked the five speed transmission and fuel injection of its Volkswagen rival a situation addressed in October 1982 for the 1983 model year with the arrival of the XR3i with 105bhp eight months behind the limited edition (8,659 examples), racetrack-influenced RS 1600i. The Cologne-developed RS received a more powerful engine with 115 PS (85 kW), thanks to computerized ignition and a modified head as well as the fuel injection

Designed by Sir Alec Issigonis for William Morris's Nuffield Group the Morris Minor made its debut at the 1948 Earls Court Motorshow . The original Minor MM series was produced from 1948 until 1953, the range included a 2 door and 4 door four seater saloon, and a convertible An instant success and the baby car of its day, the new car featured rack and pinion steering, torsion bar independant front suspension and superb handling. Although the Minor was originally designed to accept a flat-4 engine, late in the development stage it was replaced by a 918 cc S4 side valve engine.
The Series II was substantially re-engineered following the merger of the Nuffield Organisations merger with Austin (forming BMC), Cosmetically the car now had raised front lights in the wings, rather than at the sides of the grille. As part of a rationalisation programme to reduce the production of duplicate components for similar vehicles, the Minor drivetrain was completely replaced with an Austin-derived engine, gearbox, propshaft, differential and axle casing. The more modern Austin-designed 803 cc (49.0 cu in) overhead valve A-series engine, designed for the Austin A30 which proved more lively than the 918cc SV it replaced. An estate version was introduced in 1952, known as the Traveller featuring an external structural ash (wood) frame for the rear bodywork, with two side-hinged rear doors. A horizontal slat grille was fitted from October 1954,[ as well as a new dashboard with a central speedometer 269,838 examples of the Series II had been built when production ended in 1956
In 1956, the Minor received a major programme of updates as the Series III Minor 1000. Now powered by a 948cc variant of the BMC A-Series engine, which increased fop speed from 63mph to 75mph. the engine was mated to a revised gearbox with longer ratios and a shorter gearchange. A series of changes to the body pressings allowed a wraparound rear windscreen and a curved front screen In 1961 the semaphore-style trafficators were replaced by flashing direction indicators
In 1962 the final Series Minor 1000 (ADO 59) was launched the 'Series IV' designation having been assigned to the Morris Mini Minor. A new, larger 1098cc version of the BMC A Series engine with a Harry Weslake designed cylinder head Although fuel consumption suffered moderately at 38 mpg, the Minor's top speed increased to 77 mph and a significant increase in torque, this revised engine was mated to a new stronger gearbox and the size of the front drum brakes increased. The interior was refreshed, and revised again in 1964.
The last Convertible was built in August 1969, with Saloons continuing to November 1970 and the Traveller April 1971

The V8 was launched in 1996 using a Lotus developed all aluminium twin turbocharged (Garrett T3/60) V8 code Type 918 and Renault transmission as before. Derek Bell developed an uprated gearbox that overcame a lot of the gearbox problems with a much thicker single piece input shaft. The Type 918 engine was detuned from a potential 500 bhp to 350 bhp to prevent gearbox damage.
In 1998 the V8 range was split into SE and GT specifications, both cars with a much changed interior configuration, both offering similar performance with the SE being the more luxurious of the two.
The ultimate incarnation of the Esprit was the 1999 Sport 350 of which only 50 were produced. The engine in the Sport 350 was tuned to have a power output of 350 horsepower and various engine, chassis and braking improvements that included AP Racing brakes, stiffer springs and a revised ECU. Among the visual changes was a large carbon fibre rear wing on aluminium uprights in place of the standard fibreglass rear wing. The Sport 350 weighed 1,300 kg (2,866 lb)

R. H. Lea and G. I. Francis started the business in Coventry in 1895. They branched out into car manufacturing in 1903 and motorcycles in 1911. Lea-Francis originally built cars under licence for the Singer company. In 1919, they started to build their own cars from bought-in components. From 1922, Lea-Francis formed a business relationship with Vulcan of Southport sharing manufacturing and dealers. Vulcan supplied bodies to Lea-Francis and in return received gearboxes and steering gear. Two six-cylinder Vulcan-designed and manufactured cars were marketed as Lea-Francis 14/40 and 16/60 as well as Vulcans. The association ended in 1928 when Vulcan stopped making cars.
The P type was the companies best selling product in the last years of the vintage period. Powered by a Meadows 4ED engine with a four speed gearbox (with right hand change), mounted in a cart spring frame on a 111 inch wheelbase. From 1931 the cars were fitted with a lower final drive,

"Save the girl child campaign by SOCIAL GEOGRAPHIC"

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
According to one United Nations estimate, 113 to 200 million women are “demographically missing” from the world today. That is to say, there should be 113 to 200 million more women walking the earth, who aren’t. By that same estimate, 1.5 to 3 million women and girls lose their lives every year because of gender-based neglect or gender-based violence and Sexual Violence in Conflict ( Read more about UN Action against Sexual Violence in Conflict www.stoprapenow.org/ ). We can point a finger at poverty. But poverty alone does not result in these women’s deaths; the blame also falls on the social system and attitudes of the societies.
India alone accounts for more than 50 million of the women who are “missing” due to female foeticide - the sex-selective abortion of girls, dowry death, gender-based neglect and all forms of violence against women.
Since the late 1970s when the technology for sex determination first came into being, sex selective abortion has unleashed a saga of horror in India. Experts are calling it "sanitized barbarism".The 2001 Census conducted by Government of India, showed a sharp decline in the child sex ratio in 80% districts of India. The Census Report of 2001 reveals a highly skewed child sex ratio (0-6 year-olds), that fell from 945 females per 1,000 males in 1991 to an all-time low of 927 in 2001. The ratio even dropped further to 800:1,000 in some specific parts of the country. Additional data from the India’s birth and death registration service indicates that the figures have further fallen to fewer than 900 females per 1,000 men over the last few years.
The decline in the sex ratio and the millions of Missing Women are indicators of the feudal patriarchal resurgence. Violence against women has gone public – whether it is dowry murders, honour killings, sex selective abortions or death sentences awarded to young lovers from different communities by caste councils, it is only women’s groups who are protesting – the public and institutional response to these trends is very minimal.
More women are working now than ever before, but they are also more likely than men to get low-productivity, low-paid and vulnerable jobs, with no social protection, basic rights nor voice at work according to a new report by the International Labour Office (ILO) issued for International Women’s Day 2008.

The word photography in English comes from the Greek where it means registration of light, but the camera sensor registers the darkness just as well, because what is darkness if not the unlit side of the Earth, which is shadow, which is black. In each picture there is some level of contrast, and contrast is defined as the difference between the brightest pixel and the darkest pixel and what is the darkest if not a representative of the night. The above photograph has more shade than light, and therefore more night than light, but it seems that the eye is conditioned to fall in love at first sight with the bright. Romantically the preference of light over darkness is love at first sight, scientifically it is a conditioning, a habit, morally it is discrimination.

משמעות המילה לצילום באנגלית
PHOTOGRAPH

Although officially the Mk.1 Transit the first Ford Transit were was in fact a Cologne built van of 1961-65 though not widely exported.
The Mark 1 was introduced ito the UK market in October 1965 taking over directly from the Thames 400E. The van was produced initially at Ford's Langley facility in Berkshire, The van was produced initially at Ford's Langley facility in Berkshire, but as demand outstripped supply production was moved to Southampton until closure in 2013 in favour of the Turkish factory. Transits were also produced at Ford plants in Genk, Belgium and in Amsterdam, Holland.
The Transit was a departure from the European commercial vehicles of the day with its American-inspired styling—its broad track gave it a huge advantage in carrying capacity which was highlighted in early advertising campaigns showing a Transit van delivering an Elephant. The engines used in the UK were the Essex V4 for the petrol-engined version in 1.7 L and 2.0 L capacities. By using relatively short V-4 engines Ford were able to minimise the additional length necessitated to place the engine ahead of the driver Diesel engine sourced from Perkins was also offered. As this engine was too long to fit under the Transit's stubby nose, the diesel version featured a longer bonnet, The diesel version's long nose front was also used to accommodate the Ford 3.0 L Ford Essex V6 engine (UK) for high performance applications such as vans supplied to police and ambulance services. The underpowered Perkins proved unpopular, and was replaced by Ford's own "York" unit in 1974.

F. Porsche GmbH (1950-1965). based in Zuffenhausen,Germany.
The 356 was a lightweight and nimble-handling rear-engine rear-wheel-drive 2-door sports car available in hardtop coupé and open configurations.
The 356A evolved from the original (1948-55) 356, with numerous small changes. With early models designated Type 1, a revised Type 2 version was launched in 1957 and was followed by the 356B (1960-63).
The 356 had a unibody construction and its basic design remained the same throughout its production.
The engine is based on the one originally designed by Ferdinand Porsche for the first Volkswagen Beetle. It was an air-cooled pushrod OHV flat-four engine. For use in the 356, they designed new cylinder heads, camshaft, crankshaft, intake and exhaust manifolds and used dual carburetors to more than double the VW's horsepower. Like the Volkswagen engines were rear mounted driving the rear wheels. A more powerful version the four cam Carrera was also offered from 1955

The TD Replaced the TC with a the more modern looking TD. With rack and pinion steering and coil independant front suspension.
The Mark II, from 1952 onwards, had power boosted to 57bhp, though factory tuning kits could take this to over 90bhp. Most were exported so many UK cars have been repatriated.
Disc wheels on the early cars with perforated wheels on later examples.
Seen arriving here with everything for a comfortable day at the show. This car is probably a repatriated example being registered on an age related vacant number, first earmarked for Kincardineshire
