Desert Air Alaska, a small airline based at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, specializes in cargo and charter flights, delivering goods to the most remote northern regions. Our poster features a true sky veteran. Its story began in June 1945, when it first took flight as a Douglas DC-3. Nearly half a century later, in 1991, it was reborn as a Basler BT-67 after a major overhaul, with a second “debut” flight in July that year. During its “second youth,” it served with the U.S. Forest Service. Last year, despite its advanced age, it proved its worth flying in Alaska’s challenging climate.

During the era of the USSR, Aeroflot—Soviet Airlines reigned supreme as the sole airline in the nation, and it held the title of the largest aviation company in the world. Predominantly, its extensive network of routes spanned the vast Soviet territory, while its international operations, which bridged all five continents, were steadily expanding.
In the mid-1970s, the Soviet Union embarked on the ambitious endeavor of preparing to host the XXII Olympic Games in Moscow, slated for August 1980. Two years prior to the commencement of the Games, Aeroflot was designated as the official carrier of the event. The airline commenced operating charter flights to numerous countries worldwide, with the frequency of these flights surging as the Games approached. Aircraft assigned to international routes were emblazoned with stickers featuring the Olympic Games-80 emblem and the proclamation "Official Olympic Carrier." Approximately one hundred aircraft, including the IL-62, Tu-154, and Tu-134, proudly bore the Olympic symbols.
During this period, Aeroflot was vigorously augmenting its fleet with new aircraft, among which was the Tu-154, registered as USSR-85412. This particular aircraft, which would later be depicted on the poster, was constructed in April 1980 at the Samara Production Association of the 6th Main Directorate of the MAP of the USSR. After a distinguished service life, this aircraft ceased operations in 2007 in Kazan following the expiration of its airworthiness certificate. By that time, it had become part of the fleet of Tatarstan Airlines.

Production of the new 200, 200D and 230 models commenced in July, 1965, replacing the W110 190c and 190d. The engine in the 200 had the bore increased from 85 to 87 mm, giving a 1988 cc displacement, and was fitted with twin carburetors. Visually, the second series models had the front indicators relocated from the top of the front fenders to below the headlights. At the rear, the tail lights were enlarged and squared off and the chrome trim was revised (including the removal of the chrome trim from the trailing edge of the tailfins). All models now featured air outlets with chrome trim on the C-pillars (identical to the W111 models). Inside, there were very few changes except all models now featured reclining front seats (excluding the bench seats) this had been previously an option on the 190c and 190Dc, and the 230 had a central armrest in the back seat as standard.

The redesigned Victor FC came with a roomier interior, curved side panels, thinner pillars, plus a steering column ignition (extra), duo servo rear brakes and an increase in power. However the revised styling saw market resistance from customers more familiar wit the conservative styling of the FB Victor, As a countermeasure the FC Victor was marketed as the Victor 101, the name arising from the claim that there were '101 improvements' over the FB. Bench or separate front seating was offered, with three-speed column-change gearbox or the optional four-speed floor change. A 'Powerglide' two-speed automatic transmission was also available.
The model received a mild facelift for its final season in 1967, before being replaced in late 1967 by the 'Coke bottle'-shaped FD

Designed by John Ravenscroft the Chimaera is a two seat Roadster, the car uses the same backbone chassis as the Griffiths and used the same derivatives of the Rover V8 engines of 4, 4.3, 4.5 and 5 litre. The Chimaera was intended as the long distance tourer of the range, and as such is longer, more spacious and slightly softer sprung than its sister cars.
The Chimaera was originally intended to replace the Griffith but sufficient demand for both of the models led TVR continuing them, the Chimaera was given a mid-life facelit for 1996 updates, included a rear bumper shared with the Cerbera, push button doors with the buttons located under the wing mirrors, a boot lid shared with the Cerbera and the replacement of the front mesh grille with a horizontal bar. The GKN differential was also replaced by a BTR unit. a 4.5 litre was included in the line up from 1997
