Dube Soweto Johannesburg Gauteng South Africa
I am told that the Government removed the roofs after people refused to pay a nominal rent and utilities including Water and Electricity because they claim Nelson Mandela had promised them Free Housing. Instead, the people choose to live in Shipping Containers. It is a Sad State of Affairs.

The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements spent R95-million building 1,870 low-cost housing units adjacent to the Dube Hostel in Soweto to house residents from Diepkloof and Mzimhlophe.
But hostel dwellers refused to move in saying they could not afford to pay for the services and refused to allow other qualifying beneficiaries to move in.
AIDS no longer has to be a death sentence, medical treatments for those living with HIV exists - but it's only available to a fraction of the 33 million people afflicted with the disease. One of the people trying to change that is Dr. Julio Montaner. Born and raised in Argentina, Julio came to Canada fresh out of med school. He's recognized as one of the most important HIV/AIDS researchers in the world. Montaner is fighting the disease on two fronts. First, Montaner has pioneered a triple drug therapy known as HAART, it's considered the Gold Standard treatment for HIV today. His second battle is red tape. When the Canadian Government refused to allow HAART therapy in Canada, he called them out on it - right in the middle of the 2006 federal election campaign. HAART is now available in Canada and as the newly elected president of the International AIDS Society, Montaner says he'll start calling out governments all over the world who aren't stepping up the fight against AIDS.

Evidently the owner refused to sell, putting a wrench into the machinations to make this area a bus loop after the Cassiar Connector was built. To the right you can see a tunnel where the city has allowed (even encouraged) graffiti artists to write.

These are the three kittens that we rescued a couple weeks ago. For Christmas my mother-in-law (the owner of the grey kitten) wanted photos of all three. This is Ajani he's a trouble maker and my fiancé's favorite.
The city decided to try out trains from Lodal and Dempster, didnt last long but got them started on Commercial FEL's and dumpsters 2 years later.
I refuse to call it the Willis Tower because forget that stupid noise. It will always be the Sears tower to me. Since I was at Adler for sunset and fireworks I finally got a decent shot of the Sears lit up.
"And you can call that picture 'Jodriana's butt!' since its a picture of my butt!"
(Yes, I had just taken a picture of her butt because she refused to turn around. Then I got this one.)
I refuse to have one more sleepless night
I refuse,
I refuse to let a tear fall from my eye
I refuse,
I refuse to continue to try
I felt like I would die, if I could breakdown and cry
And I refuse,
I refuse to let you walk back through that door
I refuse,
I refuse to let you hurt me anymore
And I refuse,
I refuse to continue to ignore
The fact I fell to the floor, the day you walked out my door
