* Some shots of the alternate modules for the TRESTA trucks. The refuelling stops are shaped like chemical tank containers for easy transportation.
* Photoshop is one of the main tools that I use to make the rendered imaged really pop as well as smooth the lines in the build. So some pieces will look fake

After the Basler with the first eight summer people arrived here at South Pole station, it got refueled and took back off back to McMurdo just about an hour after it landed. Now the weather is getting a bit worse. So it might take a while until we get the next airplane and people in. The two building in the background are DSL (left) with the South Pole Telescope and MAPO (right). Both building host telescopes to study the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB).
Emperor dragonfly or Blue emperor:
They frequently fly high up into the sky in search of prey, which includes butterflies, Four-spotted Chasers and tadpoles; small prey is eaten while flying. They breed in a variety of aquatic habitats from large ponds to dykes, but they require a plentiful supply of vegetation in the water. The females lay the eggs into plants such as pondweed, and always lay alone. The male is highly territorial, and difficult to approach (Wikipedia).
Standing in the shade of an arbor in the butterfly garden at Coyote Hills, this fast action Allen's Hummingbird finally took a moment to 'refuel' before going back to defending his territory! I was able to get a couple shots before the chase began all over again!

Next week I will fill air and strength on the coast of the Netherlands.
Meanwhile I wish you a good time.

They are shy, and this is as close as I could get before they fled.
