Visited this beautiful waterfall today, and of course immersed myself in the pools below it.
It's one of the lesser visited waterfalls in East TN, in part because of its remote location. The road leading to the trailhead is also very rough - you don't want to drive it in a car that sits low.

The Freshfield is a fine pub for the thirsty and lovers of good beer. Dogs welcome too!

I chose a glass of Kombucha. And a slice of lemon. I just read yesterday that the consumption of Kombucha has increased by a staggering 170% over the last year, making it the most popular soft drink alternative in Australia. Happy Macro Monday/ HMM

There are many entrances to Cliff Gilker Park, this one is at the halfway point. Each path is well worn, as residents enjoy their occasional visit. On a wet afternoon, I chose this access, just to change things up. It is noteworthy that after it rains, colours are vibrant and can strike the eyes with an intense delight. With the foliage still wet, and the sun unable to penetrate, they appear refreshingly born again.
