My take on the theme refreshing. A photography project I am doing with my daughter. To see her take check out my blog here:
Thought I'd post something wintery in this heat wave. GEXR 431 at Guelph on a chilly New Year's Eve 2017.
The winter of 2017-2018 was GEXR's last winter on the Guelph Sub. November 16, 2018, CN will resume operations after a 20 year GEXR-Railtex-RailAmerica-G&W lease expires.
It was a glorious day in Auld Reekie today. Indeed it seems to have been lovely all over the country. Bodes well for the weekend.
It was too hot in our office this afternoon. And believe it or not this is the first time I think I have ever had Ribena. It was really nice!

A nice cool shower at the beach. The hot weather here continues and it promises to be a scorching summer
One of the most beautiful places in the Rhodope Mountains to spend a hot summer's day - the "Slivodolsko Padalo" waterfall canyon near Asenovgrad. The highest waterfall at the end of the canyon measures impressive 50 meters ... but the small ones along the way are just as pretty and refreshing.
Well this is what I ended up doing with the aspargus and salmon. One of the classic dishes you find at most restaurants in france is pasta with salmon in a lemony cream sauce...but whenever I go out and had some, I always though it ended up looking like baby food, so I wanted to present it in a more modern way ... if thats how you can call it.
Just one detail (because I'm ultra picky) - I should had been more precise with the cutting of the asparagus bottoms, they are not ultra ultra straight, and my hand should be lighter when painting the pesto, or at least more uniform (too much on the top, less on the bottom- should had been uniform).
ANYWAY, I'm still satisified with the way this looks :-) Recipe on swirlandscramble.blogspot.com
