After a few hot days taking butterfly pictures, it was cloudy when I set off this morning and I decided to try a waterfall. Down to Water Ark Foss, which I think suits a light flow [it's been very dry]. The sounds and sight of the rushing water chilled me out and made me feel refreshed.
Week 22 in 52 Weeks for Dogs and we had a really warm morning for our forest walk. Taivas needed to refresh herself in a puddle!

Located on the Winnipeg River, Pinawa Dam was Manitoba’s first hydro-electric generating station. Pinawa Dam was developed in response to the demand for residential and commercial power and was crucial to the rapid growth of Winnipeg in the pre-war years. The station began delivering power in 1906 and was closed in 1951 to allow the full flow of the Winnipeg River to serve the Seven Sisters Hydro Station built downstream.

The weather has been very warm here in Washington the last few weeks. Today, Charity helped me capture this shot of the lavender at my brother's house by spraying the hose. She helped me with the photo while at the sometime cooling her and Wyatt off.
Processed this shot listening to ODESZA's "Summer's Gone" album, which is awesome.
I would have preferred a beer, but this glass of lemonade helped cool me down in the horrible heat yesterday. However, I drank half the glass before taking the picture for my 'squared circle' project......
